Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

Arlo was entirely oblivious to those questions of morality that so tugged at his newfound companion and too- that eternal struggle that seemed to be waging within him. His own venom so seeming to have flooded his companion with falsified assurances. That cocktail of chemicals so resulting in Sebastian's continued internal berating of himself. Arlo, all the while, simply taking the man's head resting against his chest and too that suggestion that he would surely be a good time as entirely the result of his being 'high'. Even so, he remained distinctly oblivious to the other vampire's forwardness, instead launching into that conversation off his own once-great music career. After all, they had to talk about something, didn't they? He couldn't just stand here until Sebastian fell asleep on him, could he? It was pathetic, surely, to mourn for a life he would never have. The man unable to stop that bitterness from lacing his words. Arlo so content to do as he always did and attempt to find something good in the bleakness off his existence until this point. Trying to pretend it didn't matter even though it surely did. The man perhaps far too afraid to admit those truths to himself- or even to his sedated, half-asleep companion. Sebastian seemed to be listening at least. The other vampire commenting that he could surely still play and that his fans would be all over him, Arlo fixing him with that once more rueful smile.

"My fans would probably be Human, Were, Witch- anything but other vampires- and what good are they to me for food? I don't not feed on mortals cause I'm moral or anything, bud. They don't really do anything for me, their blood isn't...right for me- and trying to appeal to vampires is damn hard."

He somehow managed to stop himself before that rambling continued any further. God it had been a long time since he'd talked to anyone who might...understand. Well- aside from Little Bear and she didn't so much talk back as she just listened and chirped. Still, he appreciated her listening all the same. Sebastian's query onto what he played managing to return that grin to his lips and chase away those more disparaging thoughts in the wake of that sigh. Arlo hurriedly moving to grab Sebastian's arm again and keep him upright lest he topple over entirely before answering that question. Music a topic the younger vampire was always determined to talk about. His voice holding a renewed animation now.

"I used to play the guitar, used to be the lead guitarist, I can do bass or electric- even acoustic. I can knock out a few on the keyboard too if need be. I used to write a lot of our songs. As for what music we played, it was mostly rock and some pop stuff- I mean that's where the money is these days. Do you play?"

He moved to glance down at the man against him once more, Arlo entirely inquisitive now before that topic so shifted to the notion of sex. The younger vampire content to lament about his woes in this area off his life in turn. Sex, after all, wasn't so much difficult for him to get exactly- more so it was rather difficult for him to see it through to the end without rendering his partner too sedated to continue or completely unconscious. Sebastian's head shaking softly, the other vampire apparently having never experienced a year long dry-spell. Well. Good for him. His assurance he could 'help with that' seeing one eye lift. Arlo almost sure the man's tone of voice had changed- even if only slightly.

"Help with it how? You got a harem of women around here or something?"

He chuckled softly, hardly believing it to be true. Arlo half convinced Sebastian didn't even really know what he was saying. Either that or the Englishman had a high opinion of his own womanising skills. His attention remained on the other man all the same as he offered that advice. That maybe he shouldn't so much deny himself that bite as merely...withhold it to the end. Sebastian evidently having a high opinion of his control. That was almost flattering. Arlo considering the idea for a few moments. His partner would still end up unconscious (probably) and yet if they had at least made it till the end it probably wouldn't matter all that much....exactly

"How long did it take before you got it right though? I mean, are we talking years here? I'm not sure finding volunteers to bang me for a few years for practice is going to be all that easy."

It had been almost a year. A year He'd be lucky if he didn't bite the girl straight up. Maybe he just needed to find someone he....liked? Someone he was too afraid to ruin things with. He exhaled softly once more, considering those ideas before the realisation he owed Sebastian a meal seemed to dawn on him. Arlo made some effort to balance the other man against the closest wall, the older vampire groaning as if this was truly hard work on his part to merely lean on a wall. Then again, with that venom so thick in his veins- perhaps it was. Arlo was gone barely five minutes, reappearing once move before his companion with that overly-excited blonde girl in tow. The woman lasting barely a few seconds before his venom seemed to strike her in turn, the girl tumbling into unconsciousness almost immediately. Those weaker, mortal bodies, so unable to cling to even a thread of consciousness as Sebastian was managing and even then- the other man looked ready to fall into that all-too blissful sleep.

Arlo moved to seat that girl beside the other man, brushing her hair away from her neck only to see Sebastian slide ungracefully down the wall to plop onto the ground beside her. For a man who had declared he had no preference, Sebastian seemed awfully picky, the older man eyeing that woman before lifting on finger to poke at her. Ruined his fun?! Arlo felt both eyes raise incredulously.

"I can't believe I just took sex advice from a man whose poking a woman in the head with his finger- stop playing with your food, ya muppet! You can't handle a mobile meal right now."

His own hand swung forward, gently batting Sebastian's away to stop him from poking that poor woman any more. Did Sebastian want the girl to be awake and terrified? Was he really that sort of vampire? Arlo so refusing to allow that to happen all the same as he sighed again, thumb and forefinger pinching at the bridge of his nose. God how did he meet these people?! He stepped forward once more, grasping Sebastian's arm to haul him easily up and onto his feet again- his own affinity embracing them both now- the pair suddenly teleported back onto the main street (Sebastian's poor head sure to be veritably spinning from the combination of venom and teleportation). The street was hardly as bustling as it normally was, a few people moving in and out of bars or hurrying home before the rain- Arlo stepping from the shadows then, his hand still grasping his companion own to stop him from falling. The elder vampires still seeming terribly sluggish and barely awake.

"Alright Governor, you think you can do better? You think you can find yourself some food when you can barely walk? Go on, dazzle me."

He released Sebastian's arm in the same moment, stepping forward, hardly intending to abandon the other man in such a state and yet determined to amuse himself all the same as his hands tucked into his pockets, Arlo walking slowly ahead, one eye turned back just in time to see the other vampire tumble into a lamp post, a nearby woman breaking into giggles as they passed, Arlo merely grinning at her, keeping an eye on Seb all the same. After all, he kinda liked the guy- and he was a good food source. Those final words muttered to himself.

"God, I used to be cool once."
