Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

The Sun Also Rises

He could hardly help the fashion in which that beaming grin danced upon his lips in the wake of that marriage Sebastian so hinted at. It was, perhaps, not entirely unexpected truly. After all they had been together over a year now and indeed they had so shared that home together for several months without issue. The pair so existing around one another with the same ease in which they existed together. Dorian wholly assured he should not ever desire to return to living alone after now having become so used to the simple company of his lover each and every day. He had fallen so effortlessly into life with his boyfriend that he was distinctly assured he should never desire anything else, the Monarch unable to hide his pleasure at that mention of taking their relationship even further. The mere suggestion of it so had a way of spreading that blissful warmth throughout his form, that adoration he had for Sebastian seeming all the more potent within him even as he offered that single, simple answer that somehow so managed to find its way through the thickness of emotion that came with even that mere suggestion. Marriage, after a certain time after all, was the done thing. The expected thing. At least, in an arrangement in which both parties were distinctly happy, that hint alone so assuring the Monarch that his lover was indeed happy even if Dorian was already assured of it. Such a mention only serving to further cement those beliefs. Dorian making himself comfortable against his lover once more, that new sense of contentment settled readily within him. To so fully make themselves a family, one day, was the most perfect of thoughts.

It was truly silly, of that Dorian was sure, to so engage his lover in that utterly foolish quiz so designed by the magazine and yet with the veritable weight of so having finally discovered those truths from Matteo only to be then prompted with all that need be done to secure the line of succession, reassess measures for their safety and engage with his parliamentarians Dorian so found himself utterly overwhelmed with work. For tonight, surely, there had been enough seriousness and tense discussion and overview of political affairs and religious diligence and all manner of fussing over what might happen were he to die. A topic Dorian hardly found favourable in any sense. There would be plenty of time, tomorrow, to worry over each and every one of those things as well as organise some sort of meeting with the Pope himself. A notoriously difficult task, even for a King. The Pope so often otherwise engaged that Dorian would be distinctly surprised if they might find time to meet within the next three months at all. How work had a way of so ruining his mood! Dorian all but determined to cast aside such ideals and focus upon Sebastian and himself alone, despite how utterly silly it was. The Fae relishing these simple moments perhaps far more than any truly understood, those moments in which they might simply exist without any other to tell them how or when or who or where they were supposed to be. For all the enjoyment he took from his position in life there was, too, a simple perfection to laying sprawled atop his consort upon the couch so reading those utterly silly questions that were largely incorrect. Even Dorian himself distinctly surprised by how far off the magazine truly was. Were they even permitted to print something so incorrect?

He had hardly anticipated that his appreciation for breasts might so prompt Sebastian to announce his appreciation for other things. That brush of the man's hand against him, no matter how soft, prompting that near instantons reaction as Dorian all but squirmed against him. A pleasurable tightness of sorts tugging at his loins. Ah, but how readily he responded to the man even after all this time! Dorian content to allow those teasing words to leave his lips. Humility so apparently not that virtue the Monarch chose to embody this evening, that rich chuckle that fell from his lover's lips in response seeing that grin upon his own return with a ready delight before he offered those quotes. After all that time he had known the man it was not particularly difficult to so conclude just which quote he believed to be Sebastian's, the very idea that the vampire had so 'famously' spoken about what he first noticed in a woman seeing one silver eye merely arch upward in a wholly playful gesture. That utterly sheepish look he was presented with so assuring that these were indeed Sebastian's words. His lover so attempting to assure him those nurses had merely taken it far too literally. Dorian so unable to prevent that near playful roll off his eyes even as Sebastian made an effort to hurry them along.

It was upon that declaration that he had won, if only by assigning himself those points he believed to be his own and so selecting that question upon Sebastian's middle name, that the Monarch proceeded to hand that magazine to the vampire now. Sebastian's assurance that he had so momentarily been concerned for the outcome of that quiz was met with a soft snort of amusement. The vampire's clearly over-dramatic sigh teasing that simper to his lips before Dorian so eyed that picture of himself with critical care. It was not his best and yet he supposed it might do. His faith in this particular publication decidedly lessened all the same as Sebastian so proceeded to begin those questions, starting first with his favoured colour. Dorian wholly content to press his lips to the vampires neck in an entirely impish fashion. A part of the man utterly adoring how Sebastian responded to just that touch and the manner in which he words faulted as his nose brushed along that skin in turn. Dorian at last settling upon his chest to comment idly upon his own methods of distraction. That snort from his lover earning but another soft hum of laughter from within his chest before Dorian allowed that truly dramatic sigh to fall from his lips.

"Very well. I suppose I do desire to know if you are truly my soul mate. I can promise nothing, but I will at least attempt to try not to distract you further. Gold is my favoured colour too. It is a glorious colour."

That impish grin danced upon his features all the same, Dorian wholly prepared then for that next question then. Sebastian's idle comment that he had been aged incorrectly readily seeming to ensnare his attention, Dorian hurriedly tilting his head just so as to eye those questions. His features frowning distinctly at his incorrectly printed age.

"Well. I feel we may have to call them now. I am not that old. If one is technical I stopped aging at about twenty two or twenty three. I prefer those numbers to the obscene one they have printed here."

A huff of sorts readily left his lips. Dorian eyeing that magazine with a renewed measure of wariness, his gaze glancing briefly over some of those upcoming questions. Dorian almost inclined to admit he truly was curious as to what Sebastian might answer for them before his silver eyes settled upon that middle name question that had been asked for Sebastian in turn. His finger listed them to point toward it.

"I suspect if you have not achieved your five points by the time we reach this question you may have to choose another. None of those answers are correct although the magazine says it is B which is....Valarie. Is that not a woman's name?"

His gaze returned to Sebastian then, that amusement tugging readily at his features at the utter ridiculousness of that publication, Dorian allowing that soft chuckle to fall from his lips all the same.

"Do you know, last time I checked I was quite sure it was Valerio- you don't think that's girly do you? You might as well carry on with the quiz, we've come too far to give up now."
