Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Closing the door behind her, Ian gave her plenty of time to grow accustomed to her surroundings. He took her hand when offered and shook it firmly, he let the welcoming, if somewhat goofy smile in place as he watched her study the nearby rooms. His first instincts on the girl kept him relaxed around her, she would be a good roommate, maybe even heating would cost a bit less with her around since she seemed to radiate a warmth all of her own, like a walking radiator, his own personal sunspot.

At the sound of her voice, he blinked in relative shock, the gears whirring in his head as the realization that he had no idea what to do in this circumstance began to make itself obvious. "Um." His thin lips pursed as he mulled over what he should expect to be paid, this was an entirely new situation to him and though there was a degree of excitement at this new adventure, the brief ultimatum she'd insinuated at had unsettled him already. Avicus was nice, he liked her and wanted her as the new roommate.

Shifting his weight to glance around the house, as though valuing it in his own mind, he could only offer a resigned shrug. "I dunno, whatever you can afford?" He left it as a question, giving Avicus the option to decide whether this was an offer that was too good to be true, or he was a moron, completely out of touch with how the world worked. Not that he would agree, Ian just felt he'd already warmed to her and wanted her to stay, she was different â€" as far as he could tell she wasn't a Were, and that underlying smell of brimstone, though not overpowering, was enough to convince him that she wasn't a normal human. She was interesting, and though he wasn't normally so welcoming of strangers, Ian was prepared to make her an exception.

Her apology cut through the degree of awkwardness that had taken over and Ian ruffled the mess of spikes at the back of his head. "It's okay, I don't really know either." His shoulders rolled in a semblance of a shrug and he offered a sheepish smile. Lingering in the hallway, however, wasn't an effective tour and his brows furrowed in thought as he tried to mull over what he could do to convince her that being his roommate would be the right decision.

Nodding towards the stairs he slunk past her, brushing his shoulder past hers, attempting to make it as unnoticeable to her, but still getting the contact for himself. "You wanna come look around? Then you can decide how much you'd want to pay." Now that he was no longer stood dumbly in the hall he felt a touch more confident, not even waiting for an answer he started up the stairs, ascending them with an unexpected grace and headed towards the spare room.

It was spacious, obviously nowhere near as large as his own room, but he could only hope that Avi wasn't put off by it, with large windows it retained the same light, airy quality as the remainder of the house. The furnishings were simple enough, a double bed, chest of drawers and a wardrobe. "This all comes with it and that door leads to the bathroom." After indicating the door rather needlessly, he found himself stepping back to let Avicus fully explore if she wanted to, jamming his hands into his pockets as he watched her expectantly.
