Scarlett didn't have to wait long before the members of her pack felt her tug and began to gather. The only surprise was that the newest member, one she had not formally met, was the first to come through the front door with a stranger in tow. Like the over sized puppy she was she lit up immediately with a friendly smile as instinct picked out the darker haired woman to be pack mate, yet before she could greet her or the red headed Were practically hiding behind her, the scowl and harsh words caused her smile to waiver. She had to stop her face from contorting in distaste at the rather abrupt and rude words thrown at her. The body language of her pack mate completely stand offish, despite Scar being the one who should be in her position, asking who she was since the wolf was a member before this other...Canine? Her nose told her canine but it wasn't wolf like her, something different, something strange
that she would find out in time. But sometimes first impressions didn't always speak volumes of the other individual, and Scar was always patient and willing to be kind to others even if they disliked her. She had even bought her a present on her trip even though she knew nothing about her, hopefully that would change her current attitude towards her.
However before the green eyed girl could respond, the sound of thundering feet and squeals drew her attention backwards. In barreled Nadya, Izzy, and Micah. Scarlett instantly lit up once more, laughing with absolute delight as she was almost tackled by her friend. Scar loved Nadya and her children so much, the twins were bundles of fun and Nadya had always shown her so much kindness and brought a light into her life; the wolf having no idea the impact she had the other. "I'm so happy to be home and see you again!" she said, countering Nadya's glee as she squeezed her friend in a hug. When she released green eyes found the twins, Izzy who bounced around with the same amount of energy Scar had on most days and Micah who offered her a small, adorable smile. The blonde haired girl was practically bouncing on the couch as well, the overall energy in the room having been cranked up several notched with their arrival. "There is so much to tell." She beamed, almost forgetting the other two women in the room until Nadya reminded her by introducing her to her pack mate and pointing out the other was indeed a stranger, not just to Scarlett. The red headed girl squeaking out a shy hi after slipping farther and farther behind the brown haired girl. Yet once more before she could respond and properly introduce herself the presence of another filled the room, causing her green gaze to stray again.
This time she lit up at the site of Frost, her alpha, enter in, not quite in the same spectacle that his girlfriend and her children had. She had always trusted him and put her faith in him, seeing the best in the Werehorse when even he seemed to not think that of himself. He offered her a home and a family when she had lost hers and she was completely alone in life, and for that she could never thank him enough, especially since he had allowed her the privilege of traveling. She smiled, "I'm glad to be home.". At one point she may have been amazed by the rare show of affection and smile, he always did such a good job of seeming so aloof, but she knew him to be kinder and less intimidating than he tended to act. He finally properly introduced the other pack member, named Malia. Apparently Scarlett's senses hadn't been too far off, indeed she was a canine, a WereCoyote. That alone made the wolf excited, though they were not the same they weren't too different, it would be nice to have someone like her around. Once more Scarlett was introduced to Malia, and after that it finally allowed Scar the time to get a word in. "I'm glad to finally meet you Malia," she said, offering a friendly smile and wave to the other woman. She had long since forgotten the rough entrance, her words sincere in their friendliness.
The sound of rustling had Scarlett suddenly looking down to see the twins rummaging through the bag she had been too preoccupied to pay attention to. "Little thieves, stealing presents!" she exclaimed, but there was not a hint of malice, instead they were followed up by laughter at the children's antics. "I was going to wait to hand out everyone's gifts, but I guess you two can have yours now," she said, knowing they would grow impatient and ever curious if she didn't give them something now. She gently got her bag back from the clutches of the two thieves and dug through, pulling out the twin's presents: stuffed panthers that had little sweatshirts on that said San Diego Zoo and when squeezed made a small roaring noise and some light up bubble guns from Disneyland. She was sure they would love it, and made sure to get them the same things so there could be no possible disagreement over who wanted what since that was a common issue with children this age. She also made sure to get them things that were not destructive or would cause their mother or Frost any grief. She allowed Frost to inquire about the other in the room as she gently began to dig through her bag, grabbing everyone else presents out to hand out once formal introductions were completely out of the way. Once the attention was returned to her, that everyone was settled and welcomed, did she smile.
"First, since the twins decided it was present time, i'll give everyone their presents," she said, bubbling with excitement. The wolf loved giving presents, the delight on the faces of others made her incredibly happy. Since Nadya was sitting next to her she handed her's first: a silver charm bracelet, that looked relatively expensive but Scar would never say, that had a heart with an N engraved in it, a panther (ok well maybe it was a lion because they didn't have panthers, but no one needed to know that and they would never know the difference since it was silver and didn't have a mane), a wolf, and Nadya's birth stone. A lot of thought had clearly gone into her present, in fact they all had thought put into them. Then she stood and handed Frost his: a decently sized box full of an assortment of sweets she had gathered on her trip from various places, that she also knew would not go bad any time soon. She knew how much Frost loved sweets, and she was a shameless sweet dealer to him. Then she walked over to Malia, despite not knowing anything about her she still had something for her: an opal paw print necklace and some sweets. She had not known the other were was a coyote, she had simply thought the necklace looked pretty and hoped the other would as well, if not sweets was always a good fall back...if she liked those. If she didn't like either then Scarlett was just out of luck and hopefully it was the thought that counted. Then she suddenly rummaged through her bag and gently handed some out to the red headed guest. "I wasn't really aware we were going to have a guest, but I have more than enough to go around," she said with a friendly smile, wanting this woman Malia had brought to feel welcomed.
When everyone had a present she carried her bag back to the couch and sat down next to Nadya once more. It was story time, everyone wanted to know how her trip had been after all. "Well I flew to new York to start the trip, first time flying and honestly I think I like me own two feet on the ground," she started, laughing lightly at her mild fear of flying now. "New York City was fun...but I don't think I could stay there for any length of time: too many people and this whole heightened sense of smell thing was...not the best," she wrinkled her nose at remembering the various...unique smells; the downtown city of Sacrosanct would never equal New York city in both size, population, and horrid smell. "I took a bus down to DC to see all the monuments and buildings. I think the Smithsonian museums were my favorite though, there was just so much to see and they're free. I think I spent most of my time exploring each of them. It was a lot of fun walking around the city, even though it was hot and humid most of the time I was there," luckily she was used to hot for the most part having been born and raised in a southern state. So far the trip sounded sub par, but actually she enjoyed every second of being in both places, even with the smell. "Then I took another bus ride all the way down to Florida. The beaches there were amazing, it was so tempting to just want to stay there and never leave. I got to see dolphins and manatees for the first time, even swim with them! I also went to one of those crazy alligator places you hear about there...definitely crazy but I loved it," she laughed lightly, Florida was definitely a crazy place with beautiful sunny beaches and then swamps full of crazy large reptiles that probably wouldn't hesitate to chomp on you given the chance. "I flew west and landed in Wyoming to see Yellowstone. I got to see wild wolves, bison, bears, elk, and even some super adorable otters. I think I could easily live in a place like that, surrounded by nothing forest and wildlife," the wolf in her wanted to stay there and run free. It was such a wonderful place, even in her short time there it felt like home. She had hiked and explored as much as she could before it had been time to fly to California. "I finally flew to California. There is so much to do there. I spent a day on the beach, a day at Disneyland, a day at the zoo, a day just exploring, and so much more. Even with all the time I spent there there was still so much I didn't get to see and do and its definitely a place i'd have to go back to in the future to see more of," she smiled, that had been one of the most fun stops, there were so many amusement parks and just fun things she had never gotten to see or do before. "It was all so much fun though, i'd never been able to travel before and this was...nice. I got to see so much, new places and experiences and people. Yet I still saw so little, I would definitely love to travel again but I missed you all terribly. I would however be intrigued at the idea of maybe one day in the future a pack vacation. I think that could be a lot of fun for everyone," she said with a smile, it was just an idea, but maybe one day they could do something like that. It would be great for bonding and stress relief on everyone. She finally finished her summarized vacation story, green eyes glancing around the room at everyone: she was so happy to be home.
