Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
I know some things should just stay broken
i'm well aware this should remain unspoken
The aftermath of that adrenaline hit him harder than he had anticipated, sleep had quickly ensnared the boy in the wake of everything his evening had held. His body had easily relaxed into Henry's embrace, his breath slowed as he fell deeper into that blissful oblivion. He hardly stirred at the gentle press of his ex's lips against his shoulder, nor was he aware of just how long the Were had remained at his side. It was rare when Sterling truly slept through the night, his evenings were so often peppered with nightmares and restlessness and yet, tonight, nestled within Henry's arms, the boy was peacefully still. He remained wholly ignorant of the sun's rise. The sunlight streamed through the windows, the very warmth of Henry beside him only further caused him to subconsciously snuggle into the man's frame. A part of him was vaguely aware of movement behind him, though his sleep laden mind was still too tired to fully stir him to wakefulness. He could feel the sudden movement at the edge of his bed, prompting his brows to furrow though Sterling didn't think too much into it when it ceased moments later. It was the sound of water running in the adjoining bathroom that finally coaxed the boy to some resemblance of wakefulness as his bright blue eyes fluttered open in the morning light.
Sterling rolled over onto his back as he blinked up at the ceiling above him. It took him a moment to realize just what had woken him, his arms stretching out only to brush against the warmth of the sheets beside him. His brows furrowed as the boy slowly eased himself up on his elbows, only for his bright blue eyes to turn and stare blankly at the cracked bathroom door. "Hello?" The word was but a whisper on his lips. The details of the night before slowly drifted back through his memory. He remembered that brush with danger and the Dark Hunter's that chased him and immediately his gaze snapped towards his still sleeping bird. Fiducia...he'd have to do something about her. It took him a moment longer to remember that Henry had crawled into bed with him but...the man had sworn he'd be gone by morning and...frankly, Sterling had little reason to doubt him. Had Henry...stayed? He pushed the blankets off of his form, the boy wearing little more than his boxers as his feet padded quietly across the hard wood floors. His hand pressed flat against the door as he pushed it quietly open, only to step further into the heated room. "Henry...?" He inquired softly as Sterling cautiously peeked around the shower curtain, it hardly occurred to him that it was unlikely to be anyone else, not when his thoughts were still so focused on how surprised he was to still find his ex in his flat.
