What You'll Find Here

Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian Ellingtonget close enough to have fun
but not enough to get attached

There was certainly no point in denying any longer that Sebastian was becoming particularly attached to the fairy King he shared his bed and now too his bath with. He should have put distance between them, he knew it just as well and yet Sebastian had long since given up denying himself what he knew well he so desperately wanted - even if he too knew with the same amount of certainty that to concede in this would not end well for him. Inevitably, Dorian would move on to share his affections with another individual. Inevitably, there would be that awkward moment of returning the coin that still hung so dainty from his neck. Inevitably, they would have to face the truth of who they were. Thankfully, that day was certainly not tonight. Instead, Sebastian was all too content to simply nestle against Dorian's chest, to have that closeness with the very man he'd let take so much of his physique. It was a rarity, certainly, that the vampire fell prey to those desires for intimacy and though he might not have been willing to admit such desires to his companion, he was more than willing to indulge in the equally as uncommon sensation of Dorian's embrace.

In those lingering moments, Sebastian was entirely aware of Dorian's skin against his own. He could feel the rugged rise and fall of the man's chest, the vampire all too aware that Dorian's sudden weakness was entirely his own fault. The vampire could hardly ignore that glimpse of concern that marred his features. He knew well that his companion would be fine, in time, he could hear his heart beating with a renewed intensity thanks to the life that was now still flowing through his own veins and thus intensifying his own already heightened senses. Nevertheless, Sebastian allowed his companion several moments of marked silence, instead occupying himself with his own thoughts as his fingers intertwined with those of Dorian's. It was such a small gesture, this holding of hands and yet, in truth, it was something he infrequently did with those whose bed he occupied for but a night. This had always been something more suited for significant others then one night stands and yet...all the same, here he was.

Rather than dwell on such things, however, the vampire pushed such thoughts to the back of his mind as he found himself so often doing, instead making every effort to continue that game that Dorian had so started at the beginning of their evening. His crystalline blue gaze glanced upwards at his companion, a warm simper crossed his features at the rather undignified snort he was presented with. The vampire could scarcely help the way in which his eyes rolled ever so slightly, his voice holding a marked tone of teasing within the depths of his all too English accent, "Oh, but only if we try, hm?" Still, he was entirely satisfied that, in some fashion or another, he had too managed to continue to please the royal fae and hopefully too earning him yet another of those 'next times' that had become so pivotal within his life. It seemed, over the past month, that his life had consisted entirely of 'next time' and the moments between each time were but futile efforts to fill his life with otherwise meaningless faces. How much 'next time' had become the only time that truly mattered to the undead creature.

Thankfully, it seemed that perhaps he was not yet required to look forward to the next of such moments, the fairy King clearly remembering the promise made within the market the week or so prior. The notion of the park as a destination was certainly a curious choice indeed. Sebastian himself tended to avoid the Southern parts of town, those moments he had ventured into such areas tended to bring him nothing but chaos and hardships from the meeting of his maker to being thrown out in the sun to finding that fairy girl he'd been forced to feed from to prove to the vampire-child that he was 'a real vampire'. Still, he hardly wished to disappoint his companion with his own terrible luck with such an area, instead only mutely nodding in return. Sebastian knew all too well that he'd likely have considered following Dorian anywhere that so suited his fancy, this moment surely would be no different. And yet, now that their plans had been made, the vampire still remained settled against his companion's chest. After all, he couldn't remember the last time he'd felt so particularly...content.

His own gaze shifted ever so slightly at the mention of stepping from the warm embrace of the water and too donning the clothing he had so quickly rid Dorian of. They were but piled in a heap along with his own nighttime wear. It would have been all too easy to simply remain here for the rest of the evening and though such a want lingered, he hardly intended to ruin whatever it was that had so coaxed Dorian's attention. The mention of his scent, however, saw his eyebrows wrinkle in momentary thought before the Englishman made the connection. Cologne and perfumes, after all, came entirely from his own era, a fact he had nearly entirely forgotten. Slowly the vampire's head bobbed as he glanced up once again at his companion, his hand rising to brush against Dorian's cheek. "I will, though you must promise me you'll eat something tonight, all right? I would hate to have you fainting on me, your grace." Gingerly, the vampire tilted his head back just enough to brush his lips against Dorian's jawline in an entirely chaste gesture. The moment itself, however, was entirely fleeting before the vampire disentangled himself from his companion's embrace, stepping from the pool of warmth and back into the eternal coldness his life seemed to exist of.

Thankfully, a stroke of genus on the part of his house staff, the vampire was afforded the simple luxury of towel warmers. He reached into the inconspicuous basket on the counter, drawing forth from within two incredibly warm red towels. Loosely he draped one over his own pale shoulders, unfolding the other only to hold it open for the fairy King, clearly inviting the man to join him with the full intent of wrapping his lover in what warm embrace the cotton would afford them. It was only after they were both sufficiently dry that Sebastian could even begin thinking of picking something from his own expansive wardrobe, not to mention introducing his lover to the collection of scents he had acquired and yet, mentally he made a note to next time present Dorian with a gift of a luxurious aromatic scent of his own. All he had to do was find one that so reminded him of the man he found himself beginning to perhaps....dare he even think it....love.
