South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Malek Ackerman

You're my water. You're my wine.

Malek had hardly been prepared when Chizue had so invited him to her friend's wedding, though, the vampire was distinctly pleased nevertheless. He rather enjoyed spending time with the doll-like vampire, her shy demeanor rather enjoyable, something he so very rarely found within woman in the modern era. Truly, Chizue was an enigma to him, though, he didn't mind, not in the least. He rather enjoyed her company and over the past several weeks, he so sought it out more and more; she had even suggested he meet her friends; the couple that was getting married today. Yet, their schedules never aligned and as much as the vampire would have liked to of met Damon and Isolt, today would be the day he was officially introduced to them rather than being known as 'Chizue's mysterious man.'

As Malek sits contentedly in his seat, he can feel the crowd growing restless around them, his own brows drawn down in a frown as murmurs of 'cold feet' and 'maybe they called it off' circulated. The man hardly thought that was possible, considering the extravagance of the venue. He attempts to tune out the chatter of the crowd and instead puts his senses to use hoping he would have a chance to track down Chizue. He had been able to see her prior to today, considering she was in the wedding party. Not that Malek minded showing up alone, yet, he still had a distinct feeling in the pit of his stomach... something felt off though there were no alarming looks within the crowd. Pulling himself to a standing position, he lays the brochure on his chair, straightening his spectacular gray suit as he carefully weaves his way down the row and out of the crowd.

Pausing, he sniffs at the air in an attempt to catch Chizue's scent yet he's unable to locate her, the immense amount of people surrounding the area made it near impossible. Again, his brows draw downward in a frown, debating on if he should just return to his seat or not. He's about to do just that when a deep voice is calling for Chizue, his ears perking up instantly as he follows the sound, striding down the rows of tents onto to poke his head inside to reveal two men. One was vaguely familiar, Chizue having described Damon perfectly while the other was someone Malek had no idea who he was, expect that he was distinctly were. As the two men discuss something rather important, Malek catches the way the groom's voice seems to crack on that last note. Something was very wrong, he was certain now.

Clearing his throat, he steps into the tent, a deep frown settling into his features, "Ah, excuse me, forgive the intrusion but I couldn't help but notice that you were looking for Chizue," he says, deep tenors holding a faint accent, "I'm her date," he explains as he watches the two men warily, "Did you say you were unable to locate your wife too?" He asks, though it was more of a statement as his mind begins to wheel rapidly. He had hardly anytime to get to know Chizue, nor had he ever met her friends or roommate, the vampire hadn't a clue if she had enemies out there or not, perhaps it was a discussion he should have had with her. "I'm Malek," he finally introduces himself, uncertain if he was welcome to this little chit chat.

You're my whiskey. From time to time.
