Raven didn't want to leave her husband by himself in their bed. She wanted to stay within the warmth of those sheets and at his side. Yet she knew she was wide awake and she didn't want to be the reason why he would wake up from his deep slumber. He needed sleep and Raven wanted to make sure he would. Going out over to the verandah she sat there quietly in her chair watching as the dark sky began to light up. Blue-grey eyes watched the colors shift. The golden sun was surrounded by the colors of orange and purple and as the sun rose higher, and higher the sky turned violet to a light blue. Raven recalled when she watched the sunrise for the first time in her life. It was back on the Ark when she found her mate standing there on top of the deck, all alone. Before his other half said goodbye he told her to watch the sun pop up. A soft sigh was released as a soft wind began to blow, lifting her golden-brown curls above her shoulders. The sound of the floorboards creaking slightly caught her attention. A gentle simper appeared on her face as she watched her mate come towards her, wearing his boxer shorts, and his bed-hair running all over the place. Instead of sitting in the chair on her other side he seemed quite content to sit himself on the floor. His question about the cows made her chuckle softly as she replied.
Wildebeest were not a creature to be trifled with. It was one of the animals one of their guides had told them about. Those horns and hooves were dangerous. The she-wolf already experienced what it was like to be trampled on and she had no desire to experience it again. As a leopard he was probably excited to see the prey animal, because his primal half might find it exciting to hunt. She would turn around and gently start to run her hands through his dark unruly locks. Once is hair was settled, as best as it could be, she leaned over to kiss him gently. She was not very affectionate with him in public, but in private she allowed herself to be. Leaning away from him she turned to see the waterhole again. It was his exclamation of her name she turned to look at him, puzzled as to why he would say her name so suddenly. As he points back to the waterhole she looks at it again seeing a rater tall giraffe walking at a leisurely pace towards the waterhole. She grinned and nodded keeping her eyes on their new visitor.
She would lift her hand to point towards another giraffe and a smaller one trailing after the first one they saw. The first giraffe started to stretch their legs to the side as it lowered its very long neck to take a drink. While second giraffe copied the first. The smaller giraffe though, the child clearly, seemed more excited to splash about along the edges of the waterhole while the smaller variety of deer like animals bounced away and settled away from the playful young giraffe. Looking back to her husband she went back to pushing back his hair, playfully. Now that they were both awake it was time to do whatever it was they wanted to do, but as always she would do what he wished.
