He knew without a doubt that he would never forget this day. The moment her hand slid into his, he felt whole and complete for the first time in his entire existence. Nothing could beat this moment. As she turned to him, he took in the glow of her blue eyes and his lips crinkled into a beaming smile, meant only for her. His hands were shaking a little as he recited the vows and slid the ring onto her finger, his gaze unable to look away from hers as she slid a ring onto his own. When the words came to kiss the bride, he couldn't contain himself any longer, sweeping her across his body and into his arms as he dipped her low, his lips melding to hers in a passionate kiss. He could barely make out some whoops and whistles followed by a "Get a room!" from somewhere in the back but he only had eyes for her as he pulled his lips back and opened his eyes. He grinned, unable to help himself even as he slowly pulled her up and made sure she was steady on her feet but even then, his arm remained around her waist as he leaned in to whisper. "You ready for a blissful honeymoon? I get you all to myself." His eyes darkened with promise as he placed an affectionate kiss on her cheek to make it look for all the world like he'd just said something sweet and endearing. Those that truly knew him would know better. He knew they had to make it through the reception first and he was already dreading having to share her so soon. But this was all for her and he would do anything to make her happy, so let the world have at it. In just a few hours, it would be nothing but her and him and a boat, with nothing but water surrounding them. |
