South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Raven Cain

It took a bit of time to adjust but living in the woods wasn't so bad. The two of them had a chance to have some time to be alone together, something they hadn't had since they went to Africa on their honeymoon. Because of her condition, it might have been ideal that they were away from the others. Their pack would have treated them very well. However, if she was around the other Weres in the Ark during business hours, her spotted companion would be a bit more unruly than usual. Falling asleep without the comforting sound of the ocean waves banging against the ship was a bit difficult at first, but it got a little bit easier. The she-wolf enjoyed roaming through the woods, chasing and playing with her mate. They had easier access to fresh food if they wanted to give in to their other half. Not to mention they could breathe in the fresh, clean mountain air. Of course, this was only a temporary set up. Soon they would be able to go back home to their pack, introducing everyone to the newest member of their family.

They were accustomed to spending most of their time with their chosen family, it wasn't natural for either of them to be far away for this long. Raven could feel that tether between herself and the others start to wane. Sure, they stayed in touch by calling or texting one another, but it wasn't the same. It was a shame that the Ark sunk. They didn't just lose a place of business; they lost the one place they called home. For the majority of them, that cargo ship was the very first place they ever felt at home. Every now and then Tobias would ask about Tetradore and she reassured him that he would come up when he can. After all, the man was very busy dealing with the aftermath of their home and business sinking. The last thing she wanted to do was bother him. Although she would need to tell him eventually that they were expecting. Whether they were going to be in the cabin longer or move into their new home with their pack, they needed to work on getting everything in order before she delivered her child.

While her mate was taking a nap on the roof, soaking up the sun before their next meal, she was sitting in the breakfast nook, enjoying the gentle breeze coming from the open window. Quietly she was reading different articles on her phone about what she should be expecting and preparing for during her pregnancy, taking some through notes on a small little notepad. The unusual sound of a loud engine disturbed the peace and quiet she was accustomed to. Odd. The only visitor that saw them was Azrael and he decided to come up here on foot during a light rain storm. Concerned, she walked over to one of the windows in the living room, pulling back the curtains, only to smile when she saw the familiar sight of one of Tetradore's vehicles. Hearing the sound of her husband running on the roof she wasn't surprised at all to see him land on the ground and then collide happily into Tetradore. Chuckling to herself she let go of the curtain and moved back towards the kitchen, giving the two whatever time they needed to catch up.

Hearing her stomach growl, she looked down, noticing that her stomach was starting to poke out a little bit more than usual, a clear sign that she was indeed pregnant...or getting fat. Heading back over towards the kitchen she began preparing the two of them a snack. By the time she was done she had a few turkey sandwiches made, with a plate of cheese and crackers. Setting the food down on the table she headed for the refrigerator, opening it up ,as she happily called out to Tetradore.

"Tetra, in the kitchen...did you want soda or water to drink? Help yourself to some food."

i'm not ashamed of my scars,
i'm ashamed of the world for not understanding.
