South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

Hold on to this lullaby; even when music's gone

So much for being safe and in the clear the further she ran from her family's property. She smelled the other in the midst of her change and as soon as she had the wound had been enough to draw her attention away, content in the fact that she was unnoticed. She couldn't have been more wrong. The voice that shouted at her to run was inhuman, like her own would be, but there was something hidden beneath the tone, something almost manic.

She extracted herself from the confining piece of material in a few seconds more, twisting out from beneath the shirt and rising up on her three good paws to favor the fourth one. Her body froze at the sudden sound in her peripheral; a boy with hair unlike she's ever seen is there and in the next is a massive horse. It is her inability to react fast enough to the growing threat of the she-wolf that has her frozen in place. This feeling of being hunted has never existed in her idyllic world until that night and it just so happens to be twice in one night.

She knew by scent alone that these weren't her woods, the trees and their scents were different, as if she smelled them for the first time. Her body is crouched, her own set of fangs bared at the she-wolf, she could feel the influx of power circulating in her mind, whispering its secrets to her and all she wants to do is listen. Instead she freezes when a shadow darkens the ground in front of her and hooves appear shortly after. This sudden surprise is enough to break her gaze from the wolf and back up slowly with a single thought in mind.

Get to the City. Safety. Blend in.

Those had been her orders first from her father then one of her brothers. They hadn't thought she'd actually be able to survive in the City without them, had they? So she went to obey, that single thought was what was keeping her from using her curse. People died when she used it, there was no controlling it.

Her steps kept taking her further backwards until she wasn't in the shadow of the equine anymore. It wasn't until she'd gotten a good five paces away that she'd gotten turned around. She wasn't used to new places and new smells, she was used to familiar and old and stone walls that kept the predators out. She was used to freedom to run without fear.

Instead, she followed her nose to a cousins abandoned den. It could have been because of encroaching Were's on the tunnel but the scent had all but faded and it was large enough to squeeze her body in to hide. A part of her knew she needed to stop the bleeding but her fight or flight had kicked in and to start a fight that she knew she would lose was beyond stupid. She had no experience and she was a thinker if nothing else.
