i hear the footsteps inside of me
He listens quietly as the woman begins to pour apologies from her mouth. The vampire is faintly amused but refuses to show it in case he deters his prize away from him. Instead, he gives her a gentle smile and helps her to her feet and places that delicate kiss on her hand. "My dear, there really is no reason to be sorry. I am quite sturdy and it would take an awful lot to hurt me," he murmurs quietly in a lover's voice for her ears only. Malek watches the pink rise to her cheeks and is delighted, he hadn't increased his powers much and was pleased to know that if he were to simply leave them be as they were, it wouldn't be hard to swoon this fellow vampire.
When he kisses her hand, he watches her through hooded eyes, if she wasn't already dead perhaps her heart would have stopped beating. Another smile quirks up at the corner of his mouth when she offers her name in stuttering intervals. "Ahh, it has been a long while since I have ran into someone of your ethnicity," he pauses making sure she didn't take his words as offensive, "Ms. Chizue Yumi, would you rather me call you Chizue or Yumi?" he asks in all politeness. Reluctantly, he drops her hand shortly after he speaks and takes a step away as to not give the girl a heart attack.
Shoving his hands in his pockets after he brushes a stray hair that had fallen into his face, he eyes her like a cat playing with a mouse. Tilting his head as she inquires for his name, he flashes another brilliant smile, "Ah! Please forgive me, where are my manners," he exclaims suddenly, wrenching his hands from his pockets, "My name is Malek Ackerman, it is truly a pleasure to meet you," he takes a deep bow, that English accent all long drawls, drawing the attention of fellow pedestrians but he gracefully ignores them. Coming back to a standing position he watches the vampire carefully.
By her reaction, Malek is uncertain if she had figured out he was a fellow vampire as well, he hoped not, only because it would be a rather entertaining night to surprise her later on. "Actually, I was just wandering around and saw the commotion near my home. I wasn't aware there was a parade, in all honesty, I have no idea what is happening here," he gives her an apologetic shrug before continuing, "However, as that I am here now, I would be delighted by your company!" he says rather broadly flashing another smile.
"Of course, if you came here with someone else I understand completely," he offers, giving her a way out if she decided to run away from a rather old stranger.
