The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy
The very idea that the faerie man held confidence within her was enough to delight the young fae, a grin plastering itself to her features as she continued to spin above the waves with him. "I think the first thing I need is an actual crown. How can I be a stunning faerie queen without a beautiful crown?" It was a tease, of course, the humor in the words reflected by the twinkling of her sapphire eyes. She giggled at the idea of him playing hard to get and her doing so in return. "You know, I quite enjoy this 'my queen' thing. You certainly know how to charm a girl." She glanced over at him at the mention of her fear of heights, ignoring his words as she continued to explain the inner workings of her monarchy. She giggled at his pout, shaking her head "Perhaps you'll have to prove to me how valuable you can be. But third could, perhaps, be arranged. Assuming Dorian doesn't threaten to duel you for threatening his position."
Her continued teasing of him was cut off immediately as he dipped her, her body upside down. The yelp that left her lips was instinctual. She couldn't deny the beauty of the world beneath her, though she much preferred to admire it right side up. It was only once he pulled her back up did she consider the words that he'd offered her, the girl biting her lip ever so softly. "I think I'd like that," She murmured, lifting those blue eyes of hers to look at him. "I think that you should join me. I promise that I'm fair and just as a queen." She let out a breath at the very mention of a distraction, the girl nodding quickly. "Yes, a distraction would be rather pleasant right now. I've never been fond of heights, which is funny because I lived so high up as a child." She smiled so brightly at the memory. "We lived in this penthouse on the Upper East Side. My bedroom overlooked Central Park. It was so beautiful, and so high up."
She closed her eyes briefly, remembering the view that she had grown up admiring. There was that instinctual twinge of nostalgia that had been laced with sadness. How she missed her home and the life she'd had. Luckily for her, Troy seemed to know exactly how to distract her, and the girl brought her gaze back to him. "When I grew up?" She chuckled and looked at him. "I like this question." She gripped his hand a little tighter as they continued to dance, the girl seeming to have finally found the rhythm that he had promised her. Dancing felt as natural as breathing in that moment with him, as though her faerie body had been designed exactly for this alone. Perhaps that was why all the fae men in her life seemed determined to bring out this side of her.
"I wanted to be a designer. Like, a fashion designer. I kept this mostly to myself when I was young though. Dad owned this company that owned a lot of hotels... skyscrapers. You name it. And I am... I mean I was, I presume they think I'm dead now... his only child. Someone had to take over the company, right? So he spent a lot of time grooming me to do that. My friends went to fashion shows and I went to business meetings. It was rather dull to be a thirteen year old in a business meeting." She chuckled at the memory, her mind latching on to those human memories of hers. "So you can imagine the rage when I applied to the Parsons School of Design behind his back and then got in." She smiled softly. "I got him to let me go by promising that I would also get my business degree when I finished that one. Although, I only went to two classes before everything... happened."
