East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

I'm more alive than I've ever been

It would have been astutely comical to have access to the sight of both of them, for just as Damon fidgets within the leather-strewn luxury of his vehicle, so too does Isolt fidget in anticipatory silence as the hands of the clock above her seem to crawl in an excrutiatingly slow arc against its glossed face if only to mock her anxiety, her curiosity at what he might have in store for her. He was ever the tease, much as he had been in all of the time that Isolt had known him, and yet the redhead knew she would never tire of his antics, his enigma... she would never tire of him. To know that he believed it possible of her to betray the love that they shared with one another, to shatter a heart she cherished far more than any other, would surely have broken the demure young woman. It could not be denied that feelings for Tetradore tore as plentiful barbs into the delicate tissue of Isolt's stilled heart, though it had been made quite clear during Damon's absence that the Were King did not share these feelings to the extent that she had. His heart, it would seem, was not meant for her.

But with Damon's return came the realization, the affirmation, of all she had felt and did feel for this man who had saved her. This man who had found her starving and had seen her fed, who had discovered that she was naive and had taught her what it meant to be vampire, a man who had found her saturated to the very bone with fear and had coaxed her to fly. Damon had, in more ways than he could have ever comprehended, found Isolt when she was dying and had shown her what it was to live. And so she owed her lover far more than she could have ever repaid even should she live for a million years more.

Isolt does not miss the darkness that seeps into his eyes before lifting just as swiftly as it had come; she had known Damon too well for far too long for even this minute detail to transpire without her notation. It is troublesome, indeed, though because she cannot rightly know the thoughts that mar his soul she is rather helpless to soothe what ails him. And so she can only match his smile with a beaming, glorious simper of her own as she leans in to press a passionate, lingering kiss upon the supple pillows of her lover's lips. "We shall," she whispers against them before pulling away, delicate fingers entwining with those of her companion as they make short work of the distance to their waiting chariot. As Isolt slides into the leather embrace of the Mustang's passenger seat, she eyes her companion steathily, astutuely aware of any telling shift in his demeanor that might nod to whatever mishap plagues him so. He was always the picture of confidence, of masculine poise, that just that miniscule glimpse of uncertainty had captured her attention and her worry. However, she wishes not to linger on it if he wishes not to discuss it; and so she leans in, a playful grin toying at the brims of her lips. "Where to, darling?"
