East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The bloom of night sent a familiar embrace to the woman that frequented these streets. Wandering the narrow corridors and the labyrinth like twists and turns it held. She has become quite familiar and astute, studying the city as she wandered the night, her very own concrete kingdom and personal hunting grounds. She was just about to round the corner, no doubt to lure her victims to her, down a narrow seemingly abandoned alley way, dimly lit and perfectly tucked away for her nefarious deeds to take black. She had a scene planned out perfectly, the illusion of a lost dog just barely formed within her mind before the image is abruptly lost with a loud thud. A strange Englishman collided into her; irritation flitted across her porcelain features. 'Fool' her mind seethed, perfectly ready to educate the poor English sod that chose this very moment to crash land into her. The force of it almost sent her flying into a brick wall, she is almost feline like the way she catches her own footing.

The distinct prickle of the supernatural danced upon her skin like an electrical current, her pale hypnotic gaze finds its mark, the man who so rudely crashed into her. He seemed oddly in some kind of rush. The words of forgiveness barely left his lips before they half fell to the ground like a lifeless sac of meat as he met her gaze. First, she had met a vampire who didn't drink human blood and now, a clumsy vampire. Sacrosanct surely had an eclectic mix of creatures, never before has she come across such odd quirks in the undead. Her gaze honed in upon the English vampire, bringing her body to whirl to face his direction, a hand placed upon her hip, poised and perfect. Venomous words form at her tongue, her face expressionless and perfect despite her eyes that flickered with the annoyance, narrowing as if stifling him from breath. "Careful where you tread." She warns with promise of unpleasantness coming his way.

The power blossomed from her, radiating like a tidal wave to crash upon him like a relentless gigantean god's fist only to pummel him to the concrete. She would make him grovel. She hardly noticed the man's flick of wrist, as he stood in such close proximity. Suddenly and quickly he dares to snatch her hand in his and this only makes her more venomous. "How.. dare.. you.." The enunciated words fall with white hot rage from her perfectly full crimson lips, the tips of her fangs are revealed in displeasure.

Her face pulls into a frown, her carefully emotionless mask beginning to crumble from her searing anger. There was a flash of a red thread that was gone just as fast, as though it were an illusion. She yanks her hand away, lighting quick as he begins to find himself surrounded by large venomous snakes that only he could see. She chose to focus her illusions on him and him alone. When suddenly, something all to unexpected rushed through her and the irate tension that flooded her simply ebbed just outside from her grasps as quickly as it had come. The snakes drift away with that anger, as if melting into reality.

The raven haired vampire's expression altered, no longer shaped into that flawless etched frown but something more soft and subtle. Something more akin to her face when she was mortal. H suddenly felt familiar, filling her with a warmth and genuine comfort she has not felt in such a very long time. How could she feel such a feeling? How could she feel such a wealth of emotion and adoration for a complete stranger she had yet to know? Oh but she wanted to know him.. No, she HAD to know him.

"I almost harmed you.." Disbelief entered her voice, her eyes widened in the shock that she would actually harm him. She would do a lot to him, she would find a way to make him hers but she wouldn't harm him out of rage. No never, she wouldn't even dream of it. He was her version of perfection and she had never encountered a man like him before. How had she not notice it before when he crashed into her light a freight train. "I would never.." Her words were cut short from a booming sadistic laughter drifting to her ears, catching a glimpse of the frown that formed on the other vampire's features. What had caused that look upon her face? It wasn't her was it? She would eliminate it, she decided, no promised.

When she realised his gaze was focused elsewhere, she knew it was something else altogether that brought upon that look. She was ready to whirl and face his demons right here and now. She just barely caught sight of three men barreling down the sidewalk with murder in their eyes, she could instantly pin them as hunters. Soon to be dead hunters, she would string their corpses up for him to admire, a great masterpiece he would be sure to know that he was hers. Her momentum to face their enemies had been abruptly halted as his hand encircled her wrist, she does not resist his touch nor the sudden guiding her along down the softly lit backstreet. The same one she had planned on ensnaring a meal. It no longer felt important really. In truth, it faded into a distant memory as though it were another time, another life.

"Who are they?" She asked, concern within her tone her brisk pace keeping up with his, her feet within heels contested the quick pace upon the uneven ground. Petra ignored it, the rhythmic clicking echoing off the tall brick walls from the tall buildings parallel to them on either side. "Why do we run?" Her voice almost coos to him, she wanted a moment alone with him and she would kill those arrogant dark hunters for it. She wanted to know his name and everything else about him. She could take them all, she knew this resolutely, especially with him at her side. She was a demon in heels after all with the devil's prowess at her fingertips.
