East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

He seemed he had given Arlo a lot to think about when he made a comment about his Maker. He saw the distant look in Arlo's eyes, his face thoughtful for a while. Damon got quiet, nursing his drink and leaving the younger vampire to his thoughts. If he wanted to get sentimental about his Maker then fine. Maybe some day, someone would look like that while thinking about Damon. He smirked at the thought. Yeah, that was just funny. He listened as Arlo said his Maker was a good guy and Damon shrugged, finishing off his drink and raising a finger for another round. "Sure." He said in a good natured way. He would have paid someone to get a picture of Arlo's face when he made the comment about picking up the tab though. Priceless. Arlo started choking on his drink and he could almost literally see the wheels spinning in his head as he tried to figure up how much he was going to be in the hole. He let all that sink in, his brow arching as the panic started to show on Arlo's face. Then he couldn't hold it straight anymore, laughing as he let Arlo know he was joking. When he called him an ass, Damon just grinned and chuckled.

He could tell Arlo was worried about his own lack of control. He was letting the fear control him and Damon knew he could only help him so much until he faced that and tried to curb the cravings himself. But he wouldn't give up on him. He was too valuable. He was starting to wonder if his powers were tapped into his hunger as well though, since the club started going haywire the minute Arlo got distracted thinking about addicting blood. Damon could tell he was trying to be convincing when he gave the mysterious vampire's name as Phillip. He didn't know of any Phillips in Sacrosanct but it wasn't worth his time to sit here and argue it out with Arlo. If he wanted to protect his secret stash, so to speak, then fine. It meant nothing to Damon. Arlo seemed very unaware of what he was doing to the club's power though. Doubt showed on his features when Damon assured him that he had nothing to do with the power flickers and everything going berserk. He could tell Arlo was starting to wonder if he had done something, after all.

There was something darker in Arlo's eyes for a moment, his features distant like he was thinking of something, and whatever it was, it didn't make him think of fluffy bunnies and rainbows. Arlo remained in denial, shaking his head almost adamantly as he said it must have been one of the girls cause he was thinking about the blood. Damon's brow arched up, watching him for a moment more before he finally sighed and conceded. "Whatever you say" He didn't hide the fact that he didn't believe him but he could see Arlo was stubborn and he wasn't going to argue it out with him. He would just have to prove it. He could tell Arlo wanted help with his control and he was glad he was at least curious as to how it would work. Arlo seemed pretty accepting of the exercises, telling him he would let him show him. He smirked. "Good. We start now. You've had enough." He snaped his fingers, sending waves of energy to the two women, who gasp as they awaken from their stupor. The one on his lap jerked up, staring at him as she rubbed at her neck. "Wha..what'd you do?"

Damon leaned forward and she looked at him, still backing away. He gave her a lazy smirk. "You poor thing. You passed out while dancing and he was trying to revive you." He gave Arlo a little wink as she then turned to him, grasping his hands in hers. "Oh, thank you! Well, I should probably go finish my shift..." She turned to leave as the other vampire girl started stirring, rubbing her head as she blinked at them. "Oh I'm sorry, I must have drank too much. My bad. Man, hangovers suck. I feel so sore and stiff...." She rolls her shoulders and arms, slowly getting to her feet and grabbing the chair for support. "Whew, gotta take it easy next time. Sorry about that. Thanks for looking out for me. Have you seen my friend?" Damon smiled and nudged his head toward the other girl and she smiled back. "Alright, well, see ya!" Both successfully mind drained, he watched as both turned to leave, his gaze shifting to Arlo. If he went to go after either one, Damon would supercharge the energy inside of Arlo himself, using his own electric current to electrocute him, like a dog with a shock collar on. He would only trigger it when Arlo was trying to focus on his hunger, relieving him the moment he settled into the seat. His lips tugged into a smirk.

"See? Exercises are fun."
