East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

She could tell she'd surprsied him with the news that Tetradore and Frost had shared with her about them making peace between each other. She knew it to be true though cause both parties had confirmed it and why would both of them lie? It made no sense. She just didn't get why they couldn't just tell their packs, like all in a meeting or something. Didn't it seem like something important to share? She thought so, but maybe that was just cause she was the weirdo friends with people in both packs. She nodded at his question. "Yeah, at the Ark. First Frost told me then Tetradore said they'd made a pact or sorts. I didn't get any details but both confirmed it." She shrugged. She could tell he was confused so maybe he'd ask Tetradore about it himself, that way she didn't have to feel like she was being used as the messenger or something.

She scowled at his comment, wondering if he didn't really mean for her to hear. "I'm sure he would have gotten to it. I kind of busted in on him and confronted him about a lot of junk like I always do and starting stuff like the jerk I am. I probably compelled it out of him more than anything." She shrugged and looked down at her plate, still a little ashamed of how she'd handled things that night on the Ark. Luckily the food started coming which was a welcome distraction. Even the salad wasn't as bad as she thought it was going to be. Lathered in dressing, that is. He chuckled and told her some things not to try and and she nodded in acknowledgement. "Tofu just sounds like something you'd find between your toes or something so no thanks." She grinned and took another bite of salad.

When the steak arrived, she glared at her utensils, remembering the lesson Frost had given her on cutting up meat. Sighing, she reached for a knife and fork, clumsily cutting at the steak until it was all but shreds on her plate. Then she started scooping it into her mouth with the fork, stabbing what she could and picking up some with her fingers before she got frustrated and stabbed something she shouldn't. Henry's sudden question made her pause, gaze locking on his thoughtfully for a second before she swallowed her food and wiped her mouth. "Because I can tell it's eating you up inside, the guilt, the shame. Whatever it was, the fact that you feel so bad about it speaks volumes about what he means to you. To me, that means more than anything you could have done because obviously, it was a tragic accident and everyone deserves a happy ending. You're a good guy, Henry. You deserve that, even if you don't see it." She smiled warmly before forking another shred of steak into her mouth.
