Sebastian Ellington-Aragona
There was a certain tenseness to her petite frame that was near unmistakeable to the Victorian vampire. It resembled some uncertainty or insecurity in the world around her, the like of which certainly hadn't been there before. He hardly missed the way she quite near seemed to jump at the very sound of his voice, as if he had startled her from some deep internal thought. Admittedly, it almost brought a hint of concern to the vampire's jovial features. A more instinctual part of him was inclined to rise to the surface, bringing a sort of weariness to the Englishman in turn. That surprise upon her features was akin to the very emotion that had danced upon his own but moments before. After all, he suspected she hadn't thought he would find her just as much as Sebastian hadn't considered that they might meet again. It was almost humorous that fate should so decide to tempt him but mere days after that commitment he'd given his now-husband with the feminine embodiment of a tease. He enjoyed the sound of his name upon her lips in such a breathy fashion and yet, even he was not oblivious to the meaning behind that tone. It was hardly laden with that lust they so often danced around. No, even this too was different. How peculiar.
That soft musing brought a simper to the vampire's features and yet, there was something that seemed to damper what he remembered of that once enigmatic simper. Even so, Sebastian could hardly help that near innocent rise of his shoulders in a small shrug. "It does always seem to be this one, doesn't it?" He inquired in that velveteen British accent. This was how their game so often started - innocently enough only for that near spark of attraction to alight with a near magnetizing pull. Tonight, however, that yearning seemed so entirely muted, it only further elevated the man's concern, even if he did his best to appear entirely at ease. He was well aware of the way her gaze lingered upon him and yet, the weight of her eyes hardly perturbed the vampire in the slightest. Rather, his head tilted slightly to the side, watching her for some subtle hint that she liked exactly what she saw. It was hardly that glimpse of approval that he was rewarded with, at the end and yet he wasn't able to place exactly what sort of emotion he saw tucked in the far corners of her features. A small frown crossed the vampire's own lips as he tentatively stepped closer towards her, his own eyebrows furrowed and yet, perhaps there was a reason for this? Perhaps she had been surveying that crowd at large for someone in particular? It was that concern that brought that inquiry to his lips, that sound of his voice near immediately rewarded him with those bright blue eyes.
That shrug upon her shoulders suggested a sort of indifference and yet, any concern he might have held quite near vanished at the very suggestion that he was a pleasant surprise. Sebastian hardly hesitated to let that smirk dance across his lips in response. "Well, I hope to be equally as thrilling tonight." He commented good-naturedly. He watched as her hand rose near absentmindedly to the back of her neck and, not for the first time, he found himself inquisitive as to what seemed to linger so potently upon her thoughts. Even so, Sebastian remained nothing short of patient for those sweet tones of mock amusement. That smile upon his own features faltered and briefly, the vampire turned to glance at those two men positioned not far from Italy's newly crowned Prince. "Ah, I'm afraid I'm still getting accustomed to them. They are a new addition." He admitted, as if that security detail was nothing more than an accessory of an outfit. His navy eyes turned back towards her, that warm grin once again danced upon his features. "They're quite like shadows, don't you think? One never can be too safe." Their presence was hardly explained in any great detail and yet, Sebastian was all too willing to acknowledge that guard and brush their existence aside all in a singular stroke. Rather, his attention all too quickly refocused upon the young woman, only for a singular hand to be pulled from his pockets. He presented that upturned palm to her, those navy eyes altogether steadfast upon her. "Would you like to join me for a drink, Carolina, and forget your woes for tonight, or would you prefer to tell me what is ailing you enough to distract you even from me?" He inquired, offering her that choice. He couldn't ignore it, not anymore. Something was amiss and yet, he was hardly going to force it out of her. Quite on the contrary, Sebastian was quite willing to be that welcomed escape just as he too was capable of being that comforting shoulder to cry on. It all depended on her.
