Okay, so maybe it wasn't a good idea to dodge his charge? But Alexander said to get behind him and away from his horn. Now I could have easily ran left or right down the street and let the rhino chase me. As much as I'd like to think of myself as a catch I'm not that worthy of an opponent to chase, even if I have someone of value riding on my back. Besides it wouldn't be fair to anyone else to be at the mercy of a charging rhino. I mean the streets weren't entirely abandoned. The rain didn't really scare anyone from walking about and completing their errands. I didn't want someone else getting hurt. Besides I was trying to run from a rhino I didn't have much of an interest to dodge some cars too! Now dodging the rhino's charge did allow me to complete Alexander's original goal. I am now behind the rhino and nowhere near his horn. It was unfortunate that the rhino barged into the café. I didn't mean for that to happen. Honest, I swear! All my hard work of keeping the floors clean clearly wasn't paying off. Oh, and Alexander's home being ruined. Yep yep yep, can't forget that important part too. If I could wince I would. Wincing at the sound of furniture and glass breaking my ears fold back knowing that the rhino managed to toss about in the barista section. And that was new glassware too!
Stomping my hoof down to get his attention, and remind him that he didn't achieve his goal to trample us, I happily take away his eyesight as punishment. Well, it was a good idea I thought. Until he started thrashing about because he was blind which only seemed to make everything worse. Oops. Turning my neck around, craning my head slightly to give the ancient King an apologetic look, I nod slowly understanding his new instructions. Okay, I think I can do this. I can give the rhino some of his eyesight back, enough so he can our blurry forms. Although I'm not quite sure that's going to keep us from getting stabbed with that horn. Searching for his ears I take his ability to hear too. Okay so that's two senses down. Maybe I should take away his scent too. I mean we're not downwind and I hear that when some senses are gone others are strengthen. I'm not quite sure how good a rhino's olfactory system is, but I really don't want to take that chance.
Heading forward I make my way over carefully. I know I took away his ability to hear and smell, and he can only see us with a bit of fuzziness, but I really don't want to do something stupid. I get us as close as I possibly can the rhino heading towards the booth by the window, the wind from the storm causing those curtains to dance around. I guess he thinks those curtains are us, that's good I think. Getting us close beside the rhino, one ear trained on Alexander, the other on the rhino ready to react.
