East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

i used to rule the world

seas would rise when i gave the word

Despite the years that had laid behind him, and the status he had once been given, Alexander had particularly few lovers within his lifetime. In his death, he had watched the demise of any he had once taken to his bed chambers and since that dreadful bloody massacre his interests had been far and fleeting in between. It hardly helped that the creature was immortal, stuck in a stasis to forever stand on the side lines as life robbed him of any great beauty that captured his eye. He refused to turn them - any of them. Death, he thought, was far kinder then this life of continual brutality. It was far kinder then the life of a Hunter. And now, because of such a steadfast stance, the conquerer had found himself alone for far more of his life then he had actually had someone within it. The were-creature was perhaps the first in a hundred years that Alexander had actually embraced. The feeling alone, the sensation of a body against his had caught him off guard. He'd forgotten what it was like to be close to someone. His hesitation, however, didn't last forever, his arms enveloping her as he held her close against his chest. He was hardly concerned that any might see them, he was hardly worried about what their species commanded of them. In that simple moment - they simply were.

Alexander felt the way her figure seemed to tense at his efforts to comfort her, clearly falling drastically short of what he had attempted to do. He released the young woman at the slightest indication from her, letting the girl pull away from him and, just like that, the fleeting moment was over. A small frown crossed his lips as he watched her facial features change and though he could tell that something had upset her, the Macedonian man was uncertain if he should address it or simply let it be. Too quickly he found himself being confronted with the simple question of what he'd wanted out of this - out of her. "Hm?" He responded, his thoughts refocusing on the woman in front of him as she questioned of the position he'd once offered her within his cafe. "Oh. Of course. It's yours to take. When did you want to start?" The Dark Hunter hardly hesitated to take up the offer of letting the woman remain within his life, even if he was unsure of where he wanted to take things. Regardless though, he made the effort to ensure her expectations of him were fully within the realm of accurate. "Hunter's don't die. Not of old age. We're stuck like this - frozen in time. I can't say in one place forever...but that doesn't mean I'm leaving." Alexander paused, a soft sigh left his lips before he started again to clarify - "It doesn't mean I'm leaving you, okay?"
