East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Stars Are Falling

"Stars are falling, are we falling too?"

With a wide eyed smile, I don't try to hide the relief at hearing her chuckle rather than roll her eyes at me. Leaning upwards again, I tuck a large chunk of the pink hair behind my ear with a quick sweep, and then reach for my drink and begin sipping at the red contents. My blue eyes downcast, not in reservation, but in anticipation. I wasn't the best conversationalist. Though, as I had hoped, she responded good naturedly to my previous jest, and I withheld a giggle, though it bubbled up immediately. "I'm more a swashbuckler anyhoo" To be honest my pirate was a little lacking, but it's the heart that counts. Looking in the other womans direction again, I smiled back at her and sipped my bloody mary, (well sipped might be a bit of a lie). The glass was already half gone, and I realized I was subconsciously trying to relax myself. Feeling nerves kicking in anyhow, I tried to strike a topic. "So, I." I closed my mouth suddenly as she put her glass down and backed away from the bar. Well that was faster.

My heart sank quickly, but it was apparently unwarranted, as she turned to face me again, this time her hand was out and I gulped a little. Shiiiiiiit. My blue eyes stared at her hand a moment as if confused, and my mouth tilted into a half smile that said everything I didn't have the words for. YES. I put my drink down, albeit a bit over zealously, nearly spilling some of the contents. "You might regret this!" I offered up a warning, followed by a slight giggle. Leaving the stool and standing in front of the other woman revealed the fact I was quite a bit shorter than she was. By, well...a lot. The height difference was something I was used to, so I was totally comfortable with it. Grabbing a hold of her outstretched hand, I made a quiet effort to make sure I didn't leech anything unwanted, as I still wasn't sure what the other woman was capable of. Though upon contact, I swear I smelled rain for a moment, with a sort of clean, crispness of Autumn. I realized with a smile, that her eyes reminded me of Autumn too. Trying to not allow myself to become too air headed, I smirked with a bit of attitude. "I'll try to not break your feet I swear!" Around them the room was engulfed with the sound of a medium pace melody, it's rhythm was fun, with a heavy drum beat. I put my free hand up in the air and rocked side to side lightly, my hips following in a rhythmic manner. I was no dancer, but I wasn't too bad either. I softly directed her more towards an open spot, where we could hopefully not be a nuisance to others in the room.
