An audible gasp left the ballerina's lips as Audette stumbled out into the alley with Kit at her heels. The emergency door behind them closed with a loud, satisfying thud and yet, that brief reprieve was surely exactly that -- brief. The vampire would easily be able to track them, the young Frenchwoman anticipatingNight nigh the undead creature to burst into the small backstreet in mere moments as the two fae struggled to catch their breaths. Her companion hardly had seemed to believe her insistence that she had done nothing to allure the monster onto her trail, though she couldn't exactly fault Kit. It wasn't as if many vampires went on such a rampage, after all. This was sure to make the local news. Audette sighed softly before the woman gestured towards her knee and the noticeable dark red splotch beneath the bandage's surface. Her sudden activity, it seemed, had prompted the wound to bleed again - the very scent enough to prompt the fledgling into the sun in some blood crazed frenzy. Kit's nodd of agreement only confirmed what she had begun to anticipate and with a glimpse of concern, the ballerina's clove colored irises shifted towards the exit sign.
His gaze followed her own as the fae insisted they should leave...immediately. Audette turned towards the nearest exit of the alleyway, the ballerina already taking several steps within its general direction before a curious thought struck her. The aisle she had stumbled upon the man had consisted primarily of baby furniture. It was an odd place for a man who she hadn't associated with children. Her clove gaze turned back to him over her shoulder as she inquired why he had been there, of all places. An unexpectedly shy look crossed the man's features he reached up to run his hand through his hair. That very announcement that he was expecting caused Audette's brow to rise in visible shock, only for the fae in front of her to rush to clarify his words. A warm simper crossed the ballerina's features as she nodded in easy understanding.
