People watching has always been a favorite pastime of Amelia's. One can learn so much from watching others. One could learn if another is rich or poor, kind or an asshole. It was a way to get to know someone a little bit before actually meeting them face to face. Amelia enjoyed it. It was a good thing she was quite content sitting in her booth alone, because she needed to get a feel for those she was around. She was new in town and she knew that new people weren't always welcomed. Although this little hole in the wall place was a vampire hot spot, even her own kind could be hard on newcomers. Amelia wasn't about to step on the wrong toes. She wasn't here to cause trouble. She just wanted to belong.
Amelia had truthfully been lost in her own thoughts before the jostle of the table caught her attention. Eyes snapped forward as they landed on the male sitting across from her in the booth. She watched him curiously as he seemed fidget in the seat. She couldn't help but notice his sweet smell. He was magical in some sense. His blood smelled sweet. It was surely tempting. But, good thing for him, Amelia is picky about who she feeds from. A girl has to have standards. It was probably a good thing that she did have standards, because she had no idea that he was untouchable.
Her hand rose as she gingerly pushed her hair over her ear. She offered him a sweet smile. It was one that often reminded most people of her genuine southern hospitality. Amelia had spent most of her young vampire life in Georgia and had picked up a few of their mannerisms. Amelia was a lady foremost, not a savage animal. "It's no bother. I was simply people-watching. You're welcome to join me if you'd like. Care for a drink?" Her accent was blended. While it held the harshness of her Polish upbringing, it still had that sweet southern drawl to it. It was unique...charming even. She signaled for one of the waiters to come by and get his drink order. If someone was going to fall into her lap, she might as well make the most of it.
