Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Sebastian had not once before uttered the existence of those strings he was so afflicted to see. He was so capable of influencing the lives of those around him and yet, Sebastian so preferred to remain that simple observer, watching as individuals met their soulmates with naught but the slightest indication of who they were. He had toyed with those strings, naturally, if only to see his capabilities with them - if only to but understand them but he had yet to play the cupid he was so capable of being. Nevertheless, the vampire so effortlessly called that bright ruby thread into existence, giving Dorian a glimpse of the world that so surrounded him. His crystalline gaze glanced upwards at his lover, meeting those sterling eyes before he allowed the King to so inspect that which he held within his fingertips. He was so eternally observate of the fairy monarch's reaction - at least in regards to himself. His vibrant eyes shifted towards that frown who so marred the man's lips as he so inquisitively found himself reaching out to touch that thread Sebastian so carefully held. At least, such had clearly been his intention until Sebastian so uttered the word 'soulmates'. The prospect of love, it would seem, so saw the man pause.
His words, as cautious and caring as they were, so brought a simper to the Englishman's features, his head shook ever so slightly. "You can do no harm to it, ma biche." He uttered softly, scarcely concerned for Dorian's touch upon his own thread that so tied him to his very own soulmate. He watched with that same smile as Dorian's head so shifted from side to side, further inspecting that ruby ribbon. Regardless of the inquiries that so clearly lingered upon the mind of the fae King, Sebastian remained all too content to linger within Dorian's lap - to have Dorian's fingers so intertwined in his ascewed locks. Very little would have made this particular moment better, except perhaps to be further within the man's arms. Still, Dorian's inquiry pulled him from those thoughts and desires of closeness and slowly, the vampire's head nodded ever so slightly. "Yes - for now. Maybe that will change in time, or maybe not. I do not know." A small shrug crossed his shoulders, so accepting that affinity fate had seen fit to gift him with. "It can be, at times. When I am in a room with many people. But I suppose I am starting to get used to it." His voice had turned soft as he admitted the one difficulty he held with his newfound affinity, the man still figuring out the complicated particulars of such a skill.
He watched as Dorian's gaze once again shifted with far more intensity before and this time, Sebastian's hand turned ever so slightly to afford the King a closer view of whatever intrigued him so. His head shifted ever so slightly, watching the fae king as those thoughts so fluttered across his features, the man all too rapidly picking upon that which he was sure others would not - the simple fact that it was tied around his finger. "It is." He uttered quietly, his eyes softening ever so slightly in adoration as his own gaze too came to rest upon that simple, nearly delicate appearing knot. He knew well what was on the other end, his own gaze trailing down the length of that ribbon to the sheets beneath them to where that bright red hue became lost within the sheets - disappearing into oblivion if only because Sebastian had hardly seen it necessary to allow his companion to see the whole length of that string.
His aquamarine eyes shifted back to the King, watching as that small smile so toyed with the man's features. Sebastian knew that look - hell, he had employed that very same tactic so many times before. He so often kept his thoughts veiled from this around him, any hint of distaste hidden wholly behind a purely joyous facade. It was a facet that existed within him entirely due to court - where his thoughts and actions and interests were entirely meaningless to those who were superior to him in titles and powers and fortune. There was something clearly upon Dorian's mind that he did not wish to share and in return, at the realization of this, Sebastian found himself unable to help the frown that pulled ever so slightly at the corner of his lips. Did their new found commitment not afford Dorian too a place to share those things that so troubled them? Not that Sebastian truly knew what the boundaries of whatever they had agreed to be were. After all, he knew well such modern ideas of dating and boyfriends were altogether meaningless for his companion and yet, he highly doubted Dorian had any interest in the intricacies of true Victorian courtship.
It was that disentanglement from Sebastian's hair that so caught the vampire's attention, the Englishman watching the way that Dorian's gaze shifted ever so questioningly to his own fingertips and the string that Sebastian so clearly saw. His inquiry, however, brought him some manner of insight to those thoughts that, he could only guess, might so have weighed heavily upon the mind of his lover. "I don't know. Sometimes fate is not even sure itself on someone's soul mate. Sometimes the love many die, or sometimes they have just once chance to meet their other half and they don't take that opportunity and fate changes. I've seen threads be created and threads die and become black and tattered but..." He paused, reaching up to gingerly touch that thread around Dorian's finger, bringing that crimson color to Dorian's view. That singular thread too slowly drifted downward into the sheets tangled beneath them, the vampire wholly aware that singular thread connected entirely to the other end of his own - he had watched that ribbon so come into existence that evening before in the darkness of that car that very moment he had so voiced the willingness to commit himself entirely to the fairy. "You do not have to worry, Dorian, you have one of your own." He continued, glancing up at Dorian as his own hand slowly fell to his chest, watching Dorian's reaction to this discovery.
