Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Feeling his warm arms wrap around her, she lets the British man fold her into him. The touch of his lips on the crown of her head is reassuring and she feels suddenly exhausted. The woman had not even told Sam of her... job and here she was telling this stranger about her life. And yes, Will was still a stranger. She hardly knew the man but she felt safe and enticed by the Hunter. He had such a strange effect on her and Vhalla was not entirely opposed to it, nor did she mind it at all. After releasing that shuddering breath she feels him rubbing her arms, the assassin hadn't realized just how cold she had become.
As they stand there for a moment, her body slowly begins to warm up feeling the crook of his finger below her chin. Raising her blue eyes to meet his, she resists if only for a moment, before letting his gaze capture her completely. His words cause her to part her mouth if only a little, the shock clear on her features, this man was an enigma. Of course, she didn't mind. Before she can respond he closes the distance and brushes a light kiss across her lips. Sighing softly into him, she lets those icy eyes of hers flutter close briefly. Then he's pulling away far too soon.
Swallowing at his words she can't help but offer a half smile at his words. The heated moment had long since passed but so had their tense conversation and it looked as if they would still have this dinner after all. William was still here and Vhal still had conflicted emotions about that. "If you are trying to woo me, William I'm afraid you have a long way to go," she laughs quietly, her teasing tone taunting him. Nevertheless, she allows him to pull her back to the table and help her into the chair.
As soon as she's seated she reaches for the wine glass immediately and takes a long drink from it, draining half of the wine before placing it back onto the table. She needed to take the edge off of the sudden swirl of emotions she had, had in the past several moments. Watching Will reach out for her hand, she offers it to him enjoying the feel of his thumb rubbing the back of her hand. Releasing a silent sigh of relief at his touch she again offers that secret smile of hers only allowed to William. Glancing down at the array of foods before her she pulls her hand out of his to gesture to the different plates.
"This her is Clams Soffrito, it's simply one of the best dishes there is. Here we have Roasted Game Hen, Plum Soup, Roasted Beet Salad," she points to each in turn, there being only one plate each. "And hands down my all-time favorite," she offers a mischievous grin, "Chocolate cake." Picking up a fork she digs into the cake and taking a not so delicate bite, humming to herself in satisfaction. Though she hadn't been hungry earlier due to their conversation, she could feel her stomach rumbling in delight at the food.
"This is family style, Hannah doesn't like to clean excess dishes so I hope you don't mind sharing a plate with me," she grins at him before scooping another piece of the cake into her mouth. Vhalla simply had no manners nor did she have any desire to pretend to be someone she wasn't. She also thanked Hannah to the moon and back for providing extra cake on the table, the woman knew her so well. "I should warn you, I will eat all of this food if you don't start eating," she laughs, though there is an underlying truth to her words.
"So tell me, Will, have you decided to make this city your home?" she asks casually though her heartbeat picks up slightly as she glances down at the spread of food before them. As soon as she asked the question, the assassin realize she truly cared if he stayed or went. When did she become such a clingy thing?
