Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Arlo James
See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch
It was that entirely blasé 'hmm' he was afforded that so seemed to destabilize the vampire entirely. He had been bitten by his own kind before, more often through his own carelessness and their efforts to defend themselves before his venom took effect and yet he had never had another so actively attempt to taste him before. It was ridiculous, really, the way that sense of foreboding so seemed to settle upon him now. Had the other vampire tasted something....odd in his blood? What on earth did 'hmmm' truly mean? Was he ill? Could he even get ill? Those thoughts were cast aside for now in the least, Arlo far more taken in that moment with the possibility of blood. The elder vampire truly seeming to have actually considered his proposal, as one-sided as it was. Sebastian waving towards him a moment later as Arlo fell, warily, into step behind. He'd been played the fool once before, the vampire entirely alert for any lingering companions Sebastian may well have had hidden in that alleyway. Vampires, by nature, were wholly solitary- at least to Arlo's own knowledge. They tended to be rather violently territorial and that alone seemed to result in them keeping their distance from one another and yet a coven, on neutral ground, was not unheard off. Yet still- that hunger pressed upon his own desire for self-preservation, affording him a trust of sorts in the Englishman he may have otherwise lacked. It was that sense of decency, he supposed, that saw him offer at least some hint as to what his bite would result in. Sebastian hardly seeming overly concerned, his shoulders shrugging as he offered that almost offhanded answer.
"Well....I don't think so. I get bitten every now and then when I'm hunting. More often than not it just hurts. Every now and then you find someone whose venom does something extra though."
His own shoulders shrugged now, maybe all vampires had something and he simply wasn't effected by them. Arlo curious all the same as to what Sebastian's venom did. After all, he spoke as if he had some sort of experience with it. His mention that the other man might want to sit down was apparently not all that well received, the elder vampire ignoring the suggestion entirely. Alright then. The traffic had become barely a dull roar, the alley growing quieter and darker with every stride. Arlo unable to ignore that clawing hunger any longer as his jaw clenched in some desperate bid for control, willing Sebastian to please hurry up. How that predatory part of him relished this! The dark and quiet of the alleyway so coaxed at those hunting instincts, Sebastian so alone and with his back to him was...vulnerable, little save for the mans scent seeming to fill that space around them until Arlo was sure he was almost drunk on it. His unstable mood shifting dramatically again. Anything and everything else rapidly ceased to exist once more. His blue eyes appeared almost black with that want as they finally turned down that last bend. God he hated himself for this. He had being this way. He couldn't remember the last time he had been this bad and yet he was powerless to stop himself. He didn't have the strength. He didn't have the will- and he didn't care. Sebastian's words were almost lost upon him. His gaze so fixated upon the other vampire he had near forgotten to blink, his head simply nodding.
"Yeah, sure. Promise I won't."
He would have said anything in that moment. Anything Sebastian had wanted him to say if only to continue to coax him into giving up that blood. Arlo barely aware he was even responding to those words. That announcement that they were finally here was a relief, Sebastian shifting to lean against that red brick wall before announcing he simply wanted to be out of the public view. It was a good idea, a sensible one- Arlo only half comprehending it as his gaze fixated on those fingers that so methodically lifted to unbutton that shirt. Surely he wasn't going to take his whole shirt off was he? God- this was just for blood wasn't it? Wasn't it?! A brief moment of panic flickered somewhere within the depths of the younger vampire, fearing he might, somehow, have agreed to a deal he had not fully understood he'd been making and yet.....he hardly found himself running. Not when this sort of blood was on offer. Sebastian so thankfully pausing after the third button. A sigh of relief softly parting Arlo's lips although, really, Sebastian did have a pretty nice chest. For a dude.
He watched with that ever-gnawing hunger as the other man simply slid that shirt away from his throat and enough from his shoulder to leave that curve of his neck exposed, Sebastian turning his head just enough to draw the skin taut across those veins beneath. Arlo could feel himself salivating at the sight of it alone, his body already anticipating the taste, his tongue running across his own lips in anticipation though he was barely aware of the gesture. He had never been....offered blood before. Not like this. He liked it, the idea of it, of having someone afford him something so willingly that he might be able to enjoy it. Hell he wanted it, he needed it, Arlo hesitating that moment longer if only because he never had been presented with such an offer. The man momentarily unsure as to how to take that blood before his control seemed to falter entirely. He appeared near instantly beside Sebastian then, one hand gripping the man's upper arm to keep him in place, his own body pressing against him to pin him to that wall and prevent him moving- at least not easily. Arlo every inch the predator in that moment.
His own head turned easily to the side, inhaling that scent of Sebastian's skin, every ounce of his control attempting to prevent him mauling the vampire in that moment as his lips pressed softly against the other man's neck. His lips trailed briefly upward, the mere tip of his tongue brushing against that skin in turn and yet there was no affection in such a gesture even despite the appearance. Arlo simply searching for just the right vein as his lips brushed downward once more, feeling for that pulse and heat- finally settling on that place he wanted about halfway up the man's neck. His own lips parted, fangs scraping the surface of that skin as his grip tightened on Sebastian's arm, assuring he was properly restrained and not about to change his mind. His fangs pierced suddenly into that flesh within near the same moment as he bit down. Arlo rewarded with the taste of blood almost immediately. That red liquid was still warm and glorious and every bit as delicious as he had believed it would be. Sebastian hardly tasted dead in any sense, at least, not to Arlo. The vampire incapable of getting enough of that blood as a sound of utter delight managed to work its way free of this throat. He could feel Sebastian beginning to relax against him, that venom rampaging its way through the other vampires system, working to sedate him entirely into that state of bliss and calm until his limbs felt too heavy to move and he was simply incapable of struggling even if he had desired to. His fangs withdrew a moment later, lips working to cover those symmetrical wounds and simply feed unhindered, drawing mouthful after mouthful of that blood. God it was haven!
Arlo was content to feed until the blood flow started to thin. Yet- such was the annoyance of feeding on his own kind, those wounds beginning to close already as Sebastian's body worked to heal itself. A soft huff off dissatisfaction was all that left his lips. Arlo readjusting just enough to bite again, higher this time and just above that first wound, dosing Sebastian with another flood of those chemicals as his fangs plunged into flesh again. Arlo was willing to hold Sebastian up if need be as he returned to feeding once more. He should stop, he needed to stop and yet....he didn't want to. No part of him wanted too. Just a few more mouthfuls. It was the hardest thing he had ever stopped doing and yet that promise nagged at the back of his mind. Arlo at last sweeping his tongue over those wounds to close them, his tongue trailing unashamedly down to lick any stray drips he had missed from lower upon the vampire's neck. The man having taken near half of Sebastian's blood and yet it was perhaps some miracle he hadn't drained him dry, keeping that promise not to leave him a 'feral husk' all the same as he leaned away at last. His own body positively buzzing with that blood and life. Arlo remembering only at the last moment that the chance of Sebastian being able to stand was wholly unlikely, his hand reaffirming that grip on his companions arm to keep him upright. His all the more striking blue gaze regarding the other vampire now. Sebastian looked....happy? That was probably the venom though....realistically.
"God you tasted brilliant. You alright there buddy? It's cool, I won't leave, we can just chill here a bit till you feel ...er....let's say, less 'high'. It might take ten minutes to wear off, it might take an hour- I can't say, depends on your body. Christ I feel good right now."
His personality, it seemed, had been almost entirely restored thanks to that blood. Arlo grinning at Sebastian now, his teeth still slightly pink from that feeding. He owed this guy one. Arlo half considering if he'd be willing to let him feed off him more than this one time. It was probably morally corrupt to ask him now when he might not really comprehend the question though. Later.
"We had a deal, if you want me to find you someone to replace that blood I will. What's your preference? Guy? Girl? Blonde? Brunette? It will take me like five minutes to bring you someone. How you doing now? It's Arlo, by the way."
