Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sebastian Ellington
His father was nothing short of ambitious in every regard. He had watched Sebastian's grandfather struggle to even be recognized as more than a mere baronette and, in those years of his own life, had made every effort at every chance to surge through the British Peerage to that coveted position of Earldom. To have a son as the Consort of a crown, and, in turn, in line for the succession of the Italian throne, certainly would have been far more than even he could have ever imagined Sebastian might achieve within his lifetime. Unlike his brother, those expectations placed upon the Englishman had always been rather diminutive, thanks entirely to that simple fact that he was the second born. Certainly, he had been expected to do something with his life but...this? Truly, silly though it was, he would have liked for his father to see him now - to be proud of him and of the man he'd so chosen to spend the rest of his life with. A small simper crossed his features at the simple imaging of the Monarch settled within that townhome his family had occupied in London at afternoon tea. That soft chuckle slowly caused his bright blue eyes to refocus upon the King, that assurance that Dorian would have wholly embraced the challenge of his father caused a warm grin to cross his features.
He hadn't truly expected those words that fell from the Monarch's lips in the wake of that very notion of the family that Dorian had gained and, in turn, Sebastian had lost. That simple admittance that he had been the nicest family that the fae had ever had prompted a rather peculiar emotion within him, that adoration he so felt for the man in that moments almost threatened to overwhelm him, even as Dorian's lips pressed softly against his own. Though that kiss hardly contained the same lust so many of theirs did, there was something wholly...breathtaking of it all the same. It was with a measure of effort that Sebastian attempted to pour that very love he so felt for the King into that seemingly small display of affection. It was silly, really, how meaningful those simple words were and yet, that thought of marriage had so been lingering upon his mind of late. They had, after all, been together just over a year and cohabiting for months and still, the fae had accepted him for everything his was without hesitation. The man so peacefull found himself co-existing with his lover, his life still orbiting around the man with that same intensity. For this to truly be his family for the rest of his life? It was far more than he ever could have hoped for.
Softly, those words left his lips that so hinted of those thoughts that lingered upon his mind, the vampire wholly attentive in that moment to how they might be so received as he so tentatively began to test those very waters. He watched as those silver eyes glanced up at him, those softly uttered words entirely simple in their nature and yet, they said all he needed to know. A warm simper crossed his features as he nuzzled his nose back against the man's neck, entirely willing to now embrace that decidedly silly task the Monarch had for them. He was hardly truly prepared, however, for the magazine that was placed in Dorian's hands or the picture of himself filling the whole page that Dorian had folded down at the edge. That notion of this simple quiz declaring his true love was near laughable and yet, he was wholly willing to see what sort of answers were deemed soul mate material. Those questions of his own preferences hardly seemed 'true love' material, not to mention the fact that many of those answers printed were entirely void of any sort of truth. Didn't anyone believe in true investigative journalism anymore or did they simply make up a few facts to pad the length of that quiz?
Thankfully, those inquiries progressed at least to one's of somewhat more substance, though even that was truly questionable. That inquiry of what he enjoyed in a woman, however, was vastly more interesting if only for his lover's rather unexpected appreciation of the female figure. Those decidedly uncharacteristic words prompted ready laughter from his lips, the man eagerly agreeing before shifting ever so slightly to run his fingers in a fleeting but altogether teasing fashion against his lover's figure. That squirm of Dorian's body against his own only served to prompt that grin to brighten even further upon his features, his head bobbing in an answer to that question of just how much he liked that in addition to those perfectly round breasts. That notion that Dorian was clearly allowed to be vain whereas he was denied such a weakness only caused that chuckle upon his lips and yet, he said little of it as the man continued to the next inquiry, this one filled with quotes that were...rather varying in nature and yet, those words he had spoken near stuck out like a sore thumb.
A sheepish look crossed his features as he admitted he might have spoken of his once habit to eye women's footwear, much less that fact that perhaps he was the cause for that rather unorthodox change to those nurses' outfits at that opening ceremony they had taken part of. Truly, he hadn't expected they'd take it so seriously, not when even he hadn't fully followed through on those very words! He quickly attempted to shift that conversation onwards, instead inquiring if his lover had achieved those necessary points or if that thread he alone was capable of seeing was little more than a mere hoax. He watched that small frown cross Dorian's lips as the man began to count those questions he got right, at least by the magazine's standards. The vampire watched as the man picked out that inquiry of his middle name, quickly able to state that easy fact and, thus, award himself that final point. "Oh, thank goodness, I was worried there for a bit." He declared with a clearly over dramatic sigh of relief, as if he truly was concerned. A warm grin crossed his own features as that look was mirrored upon the lips of his lover and yet his bright blue eyes hardly lingered as that page was turned to reveal an equally large photo of the fae King himself and a similar quiz laid out perfectly for his own attempt.
Sebastian took that offered magazine from his lover's hands, studying it briefly as the Monarch shifted in his arms to a position he found far more comfortable. "Let's hope they did far better on you then me, hm?" He commented briefly before continuing to those same preference and factual questions he had been forced to answer. "What is your favorite color? I'm pretty sure it's --" His words were cut off by that soft press of Dorian's lips against that ever sensitive skin of his neck, a shudder near running down his spine at that simple press of contact. The soft brush of Dorian's nose was wholly distracting in that moment, the man pausing but briefly before continuing that sentence where he had left off. "Gold." His gaze shifted towards his boyfriend as Dorian moved to rest his heat upon his shoulder, idly commenting in a tone that was entirely mischievous in nature. A snort left his nose as he eyed the man in consideration. "Are you wanting me to actually finish this quiz or would you really rather be left not knowing if I am truly your soul mate?" His eyebrow arched ever so slightly in an inquisitive fashion before the vampire added in an after thought, "You should know they added a few years onto your age. I didn't know you got older so quickly, Ma Biche."
