Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Arlo James

See what it's like to be a vulture's lunch

Whatever Dorian let him be? Was that how it worked? Why did this Dorian get to pick and choose everything? Wouldn't he want his lover to be equal to him? After all, that was what marriage was, he was sure. When two people decided to share everything forever. Maybe he didn't have first-hand experience in this exactly but the fact Dorian got to let Sebastian be something seemed...unfair. What if Dorian didn't let him be anything?! Then again, maybe Sebastian didn't want to be. Arlo's own features frowned slightly at the thought. Nah, surely Seb wanted to be something right? Who wouldn't want that? Arlo's own experience in dealing with that combination of politics and press decidedly non-existent, the younger vampire more inclined to think of that role of King as something of a figure-head really. How much work could it actually be to run a country after all? Show up and look good. That was all Kings did now right? Sebastian could have done that blinded folded. He'd make a great King! Arlo assured he would vote for him. Did you vote for Kings? Whatever. Arlo's own head shook lightly, dismissing those thoughts for now as he faced his companion again. The younger man still determined to do that job of self-appointed assurer.

"If you love this guy, and you really do seem to love him, then I'm pretty sure he must be a good person. I mean, you don't seem like a bad judge of character and if he loves you just the same then believe me bud, I don't think you've got to worry about anything. Probably not for the rest of your life."

He probably didn't have to worry about anything ever with his fifty billion dollars alone. Still, he supposed, he was at least trying to settle the other man and bring some sort of end to those fairly irrational fears about his Father and his name and what he was going to be when he got married and that guy called Phillip. That venom within his system seeming to have heightened Sebastian's emotions about....everything to the point the other vampire was no longer able to stop them when they became, well, totally unreasonable. It was a tiny bit funny really. Still, that declaration that he was no longer getting married at all saw both Arlo's arms lift in exasperation as he collapsed back against that lounge. Maybe it was better that Seb was unlikely to remember, well, any of this once he got some blood back into his system. That abrupt and sudden change of topic to his own Panda and his potential status as a poor pet owner saw his bright blue gaze flicker to the darker blue of Sebastian's own. He supposed he never really had considered her other owner that much, or if she wanted to stay her permanently. After all, she seemed to like coming and going and who was he to stop her? Than again what if she had to cross dangerous roads every few nights to get here?! Would someone on the street actually steal her? Would they walk up and grab her and run away? He wasn't even sure she had any real ability to defend herself. Did she even have teeth? Dear god! The stress of it all! Stress he hadn't even considered until Captain Worry here had started on about it. Arlo rounding on him then, entirely content to blame Sebastian for the fact that now he was worried too. Maybe he would have to assess to see if she knew how to use a crosswalk next time she was here.

That ready pout that seemed to find Sebastian's lips again only drew another sigh from him, God he hardly needed the man getting upset all over again and worried Arlo didn't like him either. The vampire waving off that apology with ease lest Sebastian dwell on it. To be fair, the man hardly knew what he was saying really and more than that, Arlo supposed, it was his fault Sebastian was like this at all. It was probably about time he made some effort to fix it before he sent him home. If he went home like this that Dorian guy probably would be mad at him and God knows what else Sebastian might saw to that man he loved without that filter in place. His suggestion that they at least start making their way home was met with way more enthusiasm then Arlo was sure was needed, Sebastian at least sort of successfully getting to his feet before declaring they needed that music and hurrying to the door the moment Arlo snatched it up and tucked it under his arm. The moment that front door was opened Sebastian was very near out of it like a puppy excited for a walk, the other vampire taking those stairs with far too much speed. Arlo's effort to slow him down apparently taken on board as Sebastian begun to move at a glacial pace. Well....at least he wasn't going to fall.

"Don't go far you'll get lost. Stay near me."

It was like looking after a child! Sebastian stumbling out onto that street with a look of awe as if the world was wonderful again. Arlo hardly trusting him not to step out onto the road or run off down some side street if he saw something shiny. The younger vampire lingering close, his hand reaching out to catch Sebastian's shirt and haul him in what he hoped was at least semi the right direction and away from those docks he had previously been heading towards. He was almost entirely sure his companion did not live in a dingy warehouse in what he was also fairly sure was heavy Were-Pack territory. At least, that was what he'd heard. Sebastian's vague declaration that Dorian had, once, lived near hear was met with a slight look of skeptiscm from Arlo once more. The man hardly capable of picturing a King a real legitimate King living, well, anywhere near here at all. The other vampire promptly explaining that Dorian now lived with him as Arlo had wholly expected he did.

"That's great bud, I'm happy for you. I guess we can go that way-ish."

God this was going to be a long night if Sebastian didn't even really know where he lived, or more likely, his thoughts were moving to fast to let him focus on where he lived. In fact, the only thing that seemed to permeate that haze was Dorian. Even despite that sedation and that cocktail of chemicals that had been coursing through his body for some time now, Sebastian's memories of Dorian and his affection for the man seemed to be the single thing that remained unchanged. It was almost romantic really- or might have been- if Sebastian wasn't so damn high that he had no idea what to do with himself anymore. It was almost fortunately really that the park was in this direction. Arlo sure they could cut through it and save some time while finding Sebastian someone to feed on and replace that blood Arlo himself had taken. His arm reached out once more, grasping Sebastian's own only to haul him across that street and through the park gates. He could smell people here, late in the evening though it was, that park still dotted with late night dog-walkers, people hurrying home and joggers. One young man paused beside that bench to fix his shoe not far from them. Perfect! His arm lifted to point to the fellow now, fixating Seb's attention on him, the vampire seeming almost hesitant before that mention of needing to see Dorian seemed to firm his resolve somehow. Thank Christ.

Arlo lingered just off to the side, watching as Sebastian strode towards the jogger now with maybe a little more joy then the situation warranted, but still as long as he was- 'hey there?' what was he doing? Even Arlo knew (from first-hand experience) that asking a victim if they wanted to be bitten really did not often go down that well. That jogger simply looking confused before becoming outright terrified and spinning on his heel to take off. Fucking brilliant. He was going to have to chase him down now. Arlo preparing to simply take off after the man when Sebastian's command to wait seemed to see that jogger halt. Arlo's own features frowned then, watching as the jogger started coming back. Alright, well that was convenient. At least until nearly everyone in the park started coming towards them! Arlo's own hand reached out, grabbing at a woman in an effort to pull her back, the lady hardly seeming to care he had grabbed her as Arlo attempted to tur her around. This was too many people! They were going to attract attention. Sebastian was going to drown in people in a minute.

"No, you're not interested in him I- you! Turn around, go home, hey don't push me, for heaven's sake your like fifteen why are you even out?"

Arlo's attempts to navigate that throng of people and get to Sebastian were hardly successful, the vampire pushing past several of them as Sebastian declared form somewhere in that crowd that this was too much, the man's command to 'go away' seeming to have almost the opposite effect. That crowd suddenly scattering, Arlo forced to near leap clear of those people now, the man pressing into a nearby tree for protection from the veritable stampede. This was not going at all like he'd anticipated. This was how he was going to get himself killed.

"What in gods name are you doing?! It isn't hard! You're not supposed to tell them you're going to bite them, they all run when you say that. Look what you've done! You've gone and used nearly all your power now. You're too hungry to use that much magic for fucks sake. No- don't talk to the puppy!"

Those words readily left his lips as he marched forward to come to Sebastian's side, the other vampire gazing almost imploringly up at him before becoming distracted by that dog from before and that.....dog-walker. Oh thank god there was one person left. The young man eyeing them both warily from that short distance away. Arlo's own affinity ready embraced him then, the man teleporting across that space to appear to the side of the fellow. He hated doing it like this, he hated attacking them, it simply felt so wrong and yet this was almost a necessity. He lunged forward in near the same instant, that shout of panic cut short as Arlo's fangs bit into his neck. That venom embracing that new victim with the same force as it had Sebastian as he tumbled back into Arlo's arms the man still, well, semi-awake and yet so lost in that pleasurable oblivion of perfection he hardly seemed to care. That startled little dog so seeming to believe this was a delightful game! The creature happily bounding along next to them as Arlo all but dragged the man to where Sebastian sat in his pool of despair. That dog-walker so fortunately didn't seem to have any idea where he was as Arlo all but lay that meal in Sebastian's lap. That excited little dog bounding around them as he did.

"Seb! Stop looking at the dog, look, look what I got for you. This one doesn't mind if you eat him, he....er.....told me so. Look, here, he's already bleeding for you."

It wasn't much, those tiny little bite wounds offering a few droplets of blood, Arlo hardly having had a chance to get his own saliva running to bite them man properly enough to feed on him and yet still that scent of blood was stronger now. That scent surely enough to engage that vampiric part of Sebastian and at least encourage him to feed and yet.....he was still looking at the dog! An audible groan passed the vampires lips. Someone was bound to come along at any moment, Arlo entirely unsure how to explain this let alone how he was going to rescue them all with Sebastian so veritably useless to the cause if it came to it. One hand reached up to run through his hair, uncertainty tainting his features then. He really didn't want to do this but......god, they were running out of options. Arlo crouched easily beside that man then, lifting his fingers to his own lips to run his tongue along them, wetting them with that saliva before reaching them back to the dog-walkers neck and rubbing it against those wounds, coaxing that blood to flow more readily and freely now. It hardly took a moment before that blood coated his own fingers. Patrick having used this same trick upon him, once, those years ago when he'd been so new and rather...unwilling.

"Hey, Seb? Don't you dare bite me, bud."

The words were no sooner free of his lips then his free hand reached forward to rather sharply and non-too gently yank on Sebastian's ear. That inevitable 'ow!' so leaving the other vampires lips and yet opening his mouth was all Arlo truly needed. His fingers reached forward in the same moment aiming to near coat Sebastian's lips and tongue and teeth and anything he could reach in that single lunge with that blood before hurriedly pulling his hand away before Sebastian might get any real chance to bite him. If that scent wasn't enough to distract him, near forcing I'm to taste that blood was surely enough. It was hardly glamorous, but there were precious few vampires who could ignore blood in their mouth and the bleeding victim in their lap. A short, soft whistle from himself calling that dog over to him as Arlo scooped it up. Well- he didn't want to see that dog get bit.
