Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Sebastian Ellington
Cause i've been dancing with shadows
waiting till the morning after
That notion of those colorful closets in such a decidedly traditional chateau altogether amused the vampire, prompting the man to share such a thought with his lover in that entirely teasing fashion. He had hardly anticipated, however, that Dorian might prefer a musical pantry in the place of that bizarre ambient lighting. The suggestion that they might affect the whole house with that rock music, brought a warm chuckle to his lips before the vampire nodded. "Did you know, Ma Biche, there are actually houses that have the ability to do that. It would not be very hard to install at all." In fact, Sebastian was already beginning to consider those sort of modern conveniences they could bring to that dilapidated stone castle. It was certainly a large undertaking to bring all of those ideas to a reality and yet - did they not have an eternity? Much less the funds necessary to do so? That sanctuary of sorts in the quiet French countryside might as well contain all of those luxuries the two men so often tended to enjoy, and perhaps a few more that their current home within that bustling metropolis was lacking - such as a stereo system or in the mirror televisions, not that they watched television much to begin with but the sheer possibilities were certainly tempting.
Such thoughts, however, were interrupted only by that rather peculiar request from the fae King. That inquisitiveness upon his features was certainly noticeable and yet, Sebastian hardly saw a reason to deny his lover all the same. Those eyelashes fluttered closed over those bright blue eyes, the vampire entirely content to settle against his fiancee as his head rested upon Dorian's shoulder. That tender touch of the King's features only further prompted a nuzzling of his cheek against the Monarch. The mere sound of that warm chuckle brought a small grin upon his lips and yet, like this, Sebastian found himself almost entirely at ease. As of late, those moments in which the two were afforded time alone and unperturbed had been rare. What with a country to tend to and that official announcement of their engagement, Italy had been far more of a circus then even Sebastian had anticipated. Then again, life at the side of royalty so often was for the vampire. For so long in his life, the man had been little more than a nameless vagabond and, before that, his life was majorly spent serving the crown with the hopes that their steadfast duty might earn them the attention of those far above their station. To be the Consort of a King was an entirely different situation - one that the vampire so constantly found himself unprepared for.
It was hardly, long, however, before he felt that vehicle come to a slow halt beneath them, that engine cutting off to inform that vampire that they had indeed arrived to their location. Sebastian allowed himself to be led from the vehicle, the man near entirely trusting Dorian to ensure the man led him to their destination safely, even if he took those stairs with slow care. The moment that door opened, however, that sweet scent hit his over attentive senses like a veritable wall, prompting his nose to twitch ever so slightly. Chocolate. He couldn't help that grin that crossed his features as he felt and heard those people moving around them, the vampire well aware that Dorian had clearly done this for him alone. After all, the man's love for chocolate had become near notorious, compounded only by his efforts to ensure the fae Monarch had the opportunity to taste those delectable sweets the vampire so often enjoyed. They were a luxury he relished in every evening he was forced to leave his lover's side, bringing back one of those delectable little treats in an almost unspoken effort to apologize for not only his disappearance but to the affection he had provided someone else in that need to feed.
Despite how utterly tempting that chocolate was, his attention remained wholly focused upon Dorian himself, listening to words at the very mention of those benefits of their newfound fame. That permission to open his eyes was near immediately followed, those bright blue irises taking in the sheer sight of all that surrounded him. That grin upon his features was quite near infectious, the vampire unable to help that desire to explore the full depths of that well stocked store. His attention was turned from those displays only by that offering of that white bag. The sheer idea that he could fill that bag with anything he desired was quite near overwhelming, particularly considering all of the displays that stood before them. He could hardly help the fashion at which he near dragged the fae Monarch towards the first of those many shelves, that excitement of chocolate was apparently not enough for Sebastian to release his hold upon his fiancee. His eyes almost seemed to widen with the sheer plethora of chocolates available for tasting, the vampire seized readily upon those he often liked, pointing them out to the fae King in a near constant stream of conversation. Chocolate and music, it seemed, were topics the Englishman could speak of near endlessly.
It was, however, that inquiry of fudge that made the vampire pause, his gaze turned but briefly from that assortment of confections and to the Italian fae himself. A look of utter disbelief crossed his features, his mouth parted ever so slightly at the sheer horror of all that he had forgotten to have the Monarch try. It took him a moment before that near exasperated sigh left his lips, his gaze turned back towards those displays with a newfound mission to ensure Dorian tasted the best of what that store had to offer, the man near muttering to himself in the process. "I've forgotten how utterly denied you've been. Hm...have I given you caramel before? Well we have to try some fudge...maybe not the mint one." That small squeeze of Dorian's hand within his own briefly pulled his attention away from those considerations, the Monarch informing him that he hardly had to make such an effort to decide. After all, he did have a whole bag to fill and likely could have a second one. "All right....all right." He stated simply, his hand gingerly returning that squeeze as he tried to reconsider all of those concerns. His gaze momentarily darted towards that flower shaped chocolate his lover had requested, the vampire entirely willing to wait till she had fetched that singular piece of chocolate before he offered her that white bag in his hands.
"May we have two pieces of the Mocha Fudge, the Salted Caramel Fudge, oh and....some of those....and those..." His voice trailed off as he pointed towards those chocolate sticks and chocolate covered candied oranges. Any further chocolate considerations, however, were interrupted by the simple sound of someone else behind them. His attention turned with his lover's own, those bright blue eyes fell inquisitively upon that small Frenchman before them. His gaze shifted towards that badge, the vampire easily picking up on that title upon it. It was him that they surely owned much of their thanks to. That bow was met with a small nod and a rather brilliant smile upon his own features. He hardly anticipated that the man might have made an effort to make something specially for them. His gaze shifted towards that young woman that moved forward, the sight of those chocolates brought a soft gasp to his lips. The Englishman's eyes but briefly met his lover's own, the man fully allowing the Monarch to take the lead. It was only once Dorian's words of praise had left his lips that Sebastian himself voiced his own compliments. "Thank you for this evening and all of those delicious chocolates. You've outdone yourself with these - this is...this is amazing. They look too good to eat." Sebastian quite near freely admitted those same thoughts as Dorian's own, that gold of those manes and the offsetting colors of those chocolates were so uniquely them. They were completely and utterly perfect.
