Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

And maybe we are two sinners

and maybe we are two sinners
who go bigger, but burn quicker

"Ugggh," Lisé groaned as the sun throbbed as loudly as her aching head. Living in a mansion one would think the light couldn't intrude as easily as it managed to, straight into Lisé's bedroom, onto her bed, and grazed perfectly across her squinted half-asleep eyes. Turning restlessly to cocoon herself, her stomach growled of discomfort and she found her body moving on its own, rushing into the bathroom and retching the somewhat digested stomach acid and alcohol from the previous night. Who knew vampires could get this drunk? Well, Lisé was a veteran at it. The pungent stench wafted through the bathroom, causing her to get sick until her stomach was thoroughly empty.

After getting through the usual routine of puking, she put on her lacey underwear and her thin black tank top and made her way into the living room corridor. She had hoped James would be off doing "important" things such as sipping his tiny brandy in his study, contemplating what race of creatures he could spew his disgust at for the day. He was like the little brother that you wanted to punch in the face, not out of sibling love either. He was an icy bastard that every parent dreaded their child to become. "Who would even hatch such a creature? Lisé amusingly thought to herself as she imagined James hatching from an alien sort of egg, spewing acid about. Scratching her thigh as she entered the common room she notices the little man finish drinking his newest most expensive brandy and standing to face her.

She hears the usual, "Good morning," that is as dull and lifeless as the man's eyes. "What's up Jamesy," she smirks, making her way into the kitchen area. "Oh, shoot. I suppose it's already night time huh? Whoops," she giggled carelessly as she opened the gallon of milk and chugged straight from jug not breaking eye contact with James. Reaching towards the empty brandy bottle at the edge of the kitchen counter she cheekily asks, "How was this week's brandy? Did you get to appreciate any of the fine red oak and cherry flavor profiles it offered?". Lisé truly enjoyed teasing James, as he became as flustered as a little kid who didn't get his way. "Well, I slept like I was dead. It was rather weird," she sardonically stated. "How did you sleep? Were you out hunting at all, or did you not want to get your hands dirty?" she grinned happily at him while she rummaged through the cabinets.

"Hey, I'm hungry," she whined as she made her way over to James. Getting close to his face she bent down to his level stretching her arms out on both sides of the chair. "Won't you help me?" she complained, playfully sweeping his hair and escaping to the other side of the room before he could retaliate. "Hah," she giggled, munching on chips she had found rummaging through the cabinets earlier. "I can treat you later for your hard efforts," she vaguely stated, resting her upper half of her body on the counter while she continued to munch on the chips.

Staring into the fireplace she thought, "Somehow even in the sterile mansion, the swollen fire makes it feel a little homey. Finishing the bag of chips, she stood up and sauntered near the corridor again. "I'll go get ready," she sang, yet again not awaiting a response from Mr. King on what his plans were for the evening. She knew she'd go out no matter with or without him. She had some feeding to do and she had no problem finding poor sorry saps that would go home with any woman that paid them half a mind.
