Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

i dont wanna be your vessel anymore
Blake stared at her blankly, not really sure who or what a Nathaniel was but apparently they shared similarities. He also was unsure if that was a good or bad thing. Wait- hold on- she was looking for shoes? So he was right, she was homeless. Or at least poor enough that she couldn't afford a pair of shoes. It made him feel rather bad for her. Perhaps he wouldn't feel as bad had he known she what she was planning but luckily, ignorance is bliss sometimes. "Uh, no. Not normally, no." He answered, rubbing the back of his neck, diverting his eyes to the ground momentarily. He listened to the sounds as she righted the trashcans, looking up from the ground to find she was suddenly quite close.

He took half a step back in surprise, choking back any strangled sounds that were tempted to escape. Then came her question and he just... Well, he was pretty sure his mind just broke. He stared blankly at her for several long seconds, processing what she just asked. Did... he... have sharp... teeth? What? What the hell was that supposed to mean? "Uh... no? No, I'm pretty sure they're, uh, normal teeth?" He's never felt so uncertain about his teeth in his life. Ever. That includes the time his brother punched him and literally knocked a tooth out when they were little. He bared his teeth at her to prove that, no, his teeth were perfectly normal. Still, that was an extremely bizarre question.

She didn't sound so certain she had a place... Damn it, Blake, you're taking another stray home, aren't you? First it was the cat, now it was a... person of sorts. Hopefully she wouldn't rob him of every possession when he turned his back. No, no, he wouldn't- He stared at her eyes as they watered, feeling his defenses breaking down, no collapsing under the weight of her eyes. He sighed heavily, giving in despite his better judgment. "All right, just... just keep your pants on from now on, okay?." Why did he say that? Because he had nothing else to say so he just puts his foot in his mouth rather than not say anything, yep. He motioned for her to walk with him, half tempted to hand her a bag to carry. Too bad for her he wasn't that eager to risk his dinner running off, not that he expected she could do anything with a frozen steak.

He stopped at one of the many homes on DuPont Circle, this one a light bluish color on the outside instead of the typical gaudy pink ones surrounding the street. "Just kick your sho... There's a bathroom down that hall. You should wash up." He gestured toward a thin hall on the right, "Uh, door on the left down that hall. Yeah." He set his bags down after shutting the front door behind her, shrugging off his coats and hanging them up on one of the multiple hooks by the door. He picked his bags up again, pausing once more to wiggle his feet out of his shoes then heading toward the kitchen in the back of the house. Both bedrooms were upstairs so he wasn't too worried about her running off with anything expensive- ha, like he had anything expensive.

"I'll be in the kitchen, let me know if you need anything." He called over his shoulder. In the kitchen, first thing he focused on was finding two glasses â€" one a tumbler, the other a simple glass- and filling them with liquids. The tumbler obviously got his fresh purchased scotch, the second glass he filled with water for his guest. Right about now he was wishing he had more non-alcoholic options other than cider. No wait, that was a hard cider. Never mind that then. He leaned against the counter, sipping on his drink for another moment before shaking his head to clear his thoughts, putting them aside to find a skillet for cooking.
