Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
This whole gardening thing was beginning to frustrate her. The other mothers from the twin's preschool boasted about their flowers and brought vegetables and fruits to show off. In an attempt to connect with them she had taken up the hobby. Nadya had dutifully planted and watered her flower bed as directed by the nursey but it seemed that the moment something began to sprout it'd disappear. At this point even the nursery was confused, going through every product from their shelf ranging from pest control to growth enhancers. Today Nadya was huffing and puffing at the soil, spraying it down with the latest soil enricher which honestly smelled awful, but the nursery said the fish rich liquid would be the best fertilizer for the soil while the twins played in their sandbox by the playset.
It was during this determination that Nadya felt that tightwire bond which she hadn't felt in so long give a twinge. Nadya paused, glancing towards the house before it truly settled in that her packmate was home. A broad smile lit her features as she hurriedly put the liquid away, "Izzy, Micah, Scar's home, let's go say hi!" The twins ceased their playing mostly because of the excitement that their mother was displaying and followed her beckoning into the house.
Nadya's excitement brought her practically pouncing on Scarlett from behind the couch with a squeal of joy at her return. While she hadn't gotten a ton of time with the lupine before she had taken off on her adventure, Scarlett had managed to do major repairing to Nadya's general distrust of the species. The scar left from the wolf pack coming through her adoptive pack's territory and killing some of the kids had been difficult to overcome; those screams of mother's over their children's bodies could still send ice through her veins. Scarlett had only ever been cheerful towards Nadya since their very first meeting, despite Nadya's initial tenseness, which certainly helped matters. "You're back!" Nadya shouted gleefully through her hug before releasing the poor girl, "You have to tell me everything!" Izzy was alight with giggles as she clamored up onto the couch to jump up and down in her own display of joy at the reunion. While her brother offered that soft dimple smile towards Scar, he was calmer about it and began to poke about the bags at her feet in curiosity.
It was only then that Nadya turned her attention to Malia, fully registering the scowl on her face. "This is Scarlett, she just got back from her vacation." She offered Malia a reassuring smile as she took a seat beside Scarlett on the couch. "...I see you brought company..." Nadya raised a brow as she glanced towards the newcomer. It was an immediate and near knee-jerk reaction at a new face within their pack home for Nadya to add urgency to that tether to her boyfriend. By no means did she believe Malia would knowingly bring someone dangerous home, but she also knew Malia was very trusting of just about anybody so didn't want any chances at the newcomer having deceived her.
