Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
Henry could sense that his lungs had simply forgotten to breathe while he waited for Sterling's words. His heart was racing, his body tense with anticipation. It was almost as though he was waiting for news if he should live or die. So much rested on the words that Sterling was going to say and that terrified Henry. He had never wanted to hear his boyfriend speak any more than he did in this moment.
And then, when Sterling finally spoke, Henry let out the breath that he hadn't realized he'd been holding. A smile pulled at the corner's of his lips and he felt his heart skip a whole beat. The words that Sterling spoke made him happy. They made him feel like everything that had happened no longer mattered.
It was in that moment that Henry drew Sterling close to him, pulling his hips flush against his own. Lips took Sterling's in a more heated, desperate attempt at affection that nearly assaulted the man. Sterling perhaps might not have expected the force at which Henry's love might overtake his senses. In that moment, Henry didn't care. He wanted to love his boyfriend like he deserved, like he needed.
When the kiss finally broke, Henry's breath was a near pant. He loved this man witch such fierceness that he could not contain. Perhaps it was the wildcat in him. Perhaps, even, it was simply the love he had for the man. Henry bent at the knees and easily picked Sterling up, settling him along his waist and hoping that Sterling might help him out and wrap his legs around Henry's hips, perhaps even wrap his arms around Henry's neck.
Henry carried the man past the living room where he had the DVD ready to play. Henry had already forgotten that he had even rented a DVD for this very special night. He didn't care about that now. All he cared about was showering Sterling with love.
Using Sterling's back, he pushed open the door to the back bedroom, his little balls of light following the pair down the hall. Henry went straight for the bed, gently lowering the male against the comforter. His little glowing orbs of light settled throughout the room, giving them just enough light to see.
Once settled, his lips showered Sterling with kisses, starting first at his lips and down his jaw. He kissed the lobe of his ear before his kisses followed the line of his veins in his neck. All the while, his hand gripped at the hem of his shirt and slowly, began to drag it upward in hopes of removing the clothing completely. His lips broke their contact only momentarily, just far enough to whisper in his boyfriend's ear. "I want to show you something..." His hand continued to move the shirt, only stopping when he needed Sterling's help to remove the rest of the clothing. He hoped Sterling would be open to his gift. He wanted to show the man that he loved him, that he was so very sorry for all the physical (and emotional) pain he had caused. He wanted to make things right.
