Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale
Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.
Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.
Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.
River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.
There was a certain level of ambiguity that Sebastian employed in the earshot of his staff, even with the knowledge of how utterly discerning they were. The bodyguards that followed him had been loyal to the crown for centuries, the pair of men nothing if not trustworthy and yet...there was a part of Sebastian that too was of the belief that 'the crown' was, primarily, his husband. Of course, the Prince could hardly blame them. He was the only Monarch some of them had throughout the entirety of their lives. However, Sebastian was...unwilling to jeopardize his relationship with his King in any way, even if it was with little more then speculation and commentary of his evening activities. Though Dorian had expressed acceptance at his eating tendencies...this...was decidedly something more. How those thoughts turned within his mind as they climbed the steps to her apartment, the men in black shadowing the Prince's every movement. Sebastian had long since become used to their presence any time he stepped out of his estate, the freedoms he was given within the world decided limited if only to keep up appearances.
He was well aware of Carolina's occasional glance backward as they climbed the steps, her fingers still intertwining within his own as Sebastian sipped on his cup of still-warm tea. Her hand was slowly pulled from his as they neared the top of the stairs, the woman leading the way to her own apartment, as unnecessary as it was. His gaze shifted briefly down the empty corridors they passed, ensuring his presence tonight could largely go unnoticed. It hardly took long, however, before Carolina's key turned in the lock, her slender hand reaching up to press against the door as it slid open on well-oiled hinges. Carolina pivoted upon her feet, reaching out for the styrofoam containers with a small, polite simper before she retreated into the comfort of her own apartment. A soft breath left Sebastian's lips as he turned to the men that followed him. "Wait out here." He ordered, well aware of that exchanged glance, and yet, the pair had long since learned that this was the best compromise they might achieve from their Prince.
"Yes, your highness." The pair muttered before taking up sentry at each side of the door frame, leaving Sebastian to retreat inside after those sashaying hips. He trailed after her and towards the kitchen, the Englishman settling comfortably at the kitchen table. The crystalline blue of his irises shifted towards Carolina, all too aware of the weight of her teal colored irises. It was the young woman's previous mention of the Ark that weighed heavily upon Sebastian's mind, even as he placed his cup of tea down upon the table. "Carolina, love, I need you to do me a favor. Try your best, please, to keep the Ark's Alpha from learning of our relationship....will you, darling?" His brother-in-law, he had learned, was rather...candid of man, Sebastian hardly wishing to discuss the extent of his involvement with any singular member of Dorian's family, particularly when he strove so hard to earn their approval. "Why don't you fetch us some plates and silverware and I will tell you about this thread, hm?" The Englishman offered, well aware that he surely owed her some satisfaction to her curiosity in exchange for all he asked for in return.
