Anacosta Heights
Dupont Circle
Hawethorn Village
River Dale

Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

I will

rise up

in spite of the ache

A good part of Henry expected to be pushed away, told to leave and to never come back. He had gotten so used to hearing those words that just assumed they would be said this time, just like all the other times. And yet, even as the kiss faded away, he was left with nothing like what he had expected.

Sterling leaned against his chest and wrapped his arms around his waist. Henry reciprocared the gesture, pulling Sterling into a warm embrace. This was where he had wanted Sterling for months. While he had hoped Sterling would tell him that he loved him in return, the warlock said nothing. He only said that he missed him. Henry supposed that was probably the best he was going to get tonight and he wouldn't ask for more. He would just relish the idea that Sterling missed him too.

But it was the soft way that he asked Henry to stay that had him smiling. "Of course." How many days had it been since he had stayed here with Sterling? Weeks? Months? Had it been a year yet? It had been far too long and Henry was all too eager to spend this might with him.

Pulling back, he looked down at Sterling. "It's late. Let's get you to bed. You've had a long night. Once you're asleep, I'll move to the guest room." Guest room. It was weird calling his room a guest room. But, Henry hadn't lived here in forever.

Standing, he reached for Sterling, grabbing his hand as he began to lead him down the hall. Once in Sterling's bedroom, he kicked off his shoes and motioned for Sterling to get in the bed. Once he was settled, Henry climbed into bed with him, pulling him so he spooned just perfectly against him. He pulled a blanket over them as he began to stroke the other's arm in a soothing manner. Hopefully sleep would find him easily because Henry had missed laying with Sterling for so long. He didn't want to get too used to being the big spoon. More than likely this was a one-time thing...he had to keep telling himself that or else he'd want more.
