Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Samantha had certainly expected that bringing the feline to her home would be a kind of comfort to the woman. After all, if Sam's clothing was enough to spark the scent of Aiden for the woman, she had to imagine that his scent was everywhere in the tiny apartment. After all, it had only been hours before she'd gone to work that Aiden had slept on that very futon â€" though he'd complained that it was rather uncomfortable. So the splintering of the table was a surprise for everyone. Despite her despair at the situation, Samantha was still able to sit down next to the skittish feline, stroking her pelt in an attempt to calm her. She kept her arms around the panther, explaining exactly why she'd prefer that her apartment not be completely destroyed. It was with that in mind that she stood, coaxing the woman towards the futon that she used as her bed. Surely getting the cat to lay down would be the best bet, though there wasn't much else in the apartment she could destroy.

As the woman approached the futon, she turned to look at the feline who had determined that staying still was the best course of action. Samantha shifted as she took in the woman's dislike of the apartment, a hand coming to rest on Samantha's hip. "Come along. You broke my table. I'd like you to come here. Try not to break anything." With that, she sat down, watching the feline intently. It was only when the feline moved to the edge of the bed did Sam lay back on the bed, an arm flinging over her face as she took some deep breaths in an attempt to relax herself. It was only a few moments of relaxation, however, before Sam's body was rocked by the large feline flopping down beside her. She winced at the creaking of the frame, though it seemed able to hold the both of them just fine. "See, it's not so bad, now lay down and relax." Again, Samantha threw her arm over her face, her free hand moving to scratch the feline behind the ears.

It was the ripping sound that caused the girl to sit up suddenly, a huff escaping her lips as she watched the stuffing of her bed seep out and stick to the feline's body. "Nadya..." The frustration was clear in the woman's tone, though she reached up to pinch the bridge of her nose in an attempt to calm herself. The rumbling purr that escaped from her companion was enough to cause Samantha to push against the panther, attempting to move her from her spot on the futon. "That's it. Off. On the floor with you. Maybe I can repair it if you just... get... off..." Still, the tiny faerie girl was hardly a match for the fully grown feline, and Nadya didn't move in the slightest.

Hauling herself up to her feet, Samantha moved over to her abandoned purse on the floor by the bags. "You just stay there," She said to Nadya, her voice rough with the irritation of having her furniture destroyed. She knew, logically, that the panther couldn't help herself. Though given her limited budget, that knowledge did little to help with the fact that Samantha was now back to either sleeping on the floor or sleeping at the Ark and leaving Dorian unattended for large periods of time. Neither seemed like a pleasant option. Samantha dug through her purse, pulling out the cell phone she'd barely figured out how to use and found Aiden's number. Hitting the call button, she lifted the phone to her ear, her other hand pinching the bridge of her nose once more. She listened through the first, the second, the third ring before her boyfriend's voice echoed in her ear. "Hey, it's me." She huffed into the phone, her eyes glancing over at the cat. "So, your sister is at my place. She kind of shifted in public uncontrollably, so I brought her back here, and now she's destroying my apartment. My table and bed are unfortunate casualties. I'm... I'm not sure exactly what to do, but I'm about to kill her, and I might need some help."
