Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

Kato tried to work as quickly and gently as he could but even he knew that no matter how much care he took, Edie would still be in pain. He had braced for Edie to swear and even scream, but the ear piercing pitch of her scream affected him far greater than he expected. His stomach churned and his brows furrowed creating crinkles of worry around his eyes. "I know, I'm sorry." He whispered as he worked. Finally, feeling like he wouldn't be able to take her sobs and his name choked from her much longer, he finished and was able to sit back on his heels holding the towel to her side. Kato's gaze found hers, drawn into their depths when her hand caressed his cheek. He was sure she was delirious from the pain. Kato reached up with his own hand, though still smeared with her blood, and took her hand from his cheek only to press a gentle kiss to her palm. It was truly a rare moment of affection for the pair who usually appeared guided by simple lust.

He wasn't afforded any time to respond to Edie when Frost announced his presence, striding with business-like manner over to the pair. Kato was hesitant in leaving Edie's side but stepped back all the same when Frost closed in to take his place. He had never before met the man, but he was Edie's chosen Alpha so in that aspect he would stay out of whatever Frost had to say to her...for now. It also gave Kato a moment to examine Frost, noting the platinum blonde of hair, lithe build, and the flash of violet eyes beneath his bangs. He didn't seem like much. Or rather, he didn't look like someone whom Edie would choose as her Alpha.

Formidable or not, Kato watched as Frost graced his hand on Edie's side in place of the towels to leave unmarred flesh in the wake of his thumb. If it weren't for the blood still on Edie and their surroundings it would have been like the wound never existed in the first place. Edie had told Kato about Frost's temperature manipulation power but had left out anything else so was surprised seeing the ability. His concern for the trouble Edie could get into resulting in harm lowered considerably knowing that her pack had another healer.

Kato in all politeness returned the handshake that Frost extended. It felt a bit odd to do so given the circumstances. The swift out of left field right hook from the blonde man was far less expected. Kato had taken blows far harder; he had had a hunter's silver tipped arrow lodged in his chest less than a month ago. Anger quickly flared in the rhino at having been struck. Kato was hardly ever the first to throw the first punch and start a fight but in true rhino fashion was always more than keen to finish it. If Edie hadn't been there then Kato would have tackled the man, his excuses for punching him seeming unfit. Instead, with a hard gaze on Frost watching him seat himself in his chair, Kato shifted to place himself back by Edie and decidedly between Alpha and Beta. It wasn't hard to see the set in the man's shoulders as he stood there tall and dressed in only his jeans, giving no indication of submission though no outward challenge at the same time.

There was warning though to show his anger and refusal to be struck again. The ground beneath their feet shuddered as if an earthquake localized in the room. The earth split and with a loud crackling snap the living room floor separated. A zigzagged line sliced across the floor from just in front of Kato to where Frost sat, separating in front of him to wishbone around his chair. All at once the ground ceased to shake. Kato wiped the bit of blood from his nose with the back of his hand to add to the dried Edie blood there. "I had what was offered to me." In both aspects of food and Edie he would not apologize for. Food could be cooked again after all. Kato was becoming decidedly sure that this Alpha was a little off his rocker.

Briefly he glanced to Edie, willing to let her tell Frost what had happened out of his sight, though the scene of blood made him flare in renewed displeasure. "Your Beta almost died is what happened. You put ideas into her head about that Ark. Do you make it a habit to not train your pack members how to fight? And then your girlfriend...how utterly foolish to go after another pack's member. It doesn't seem like she is very keen on you from how she almost killed Edie." Yes, Edie had told him about Nadya being the object of Frost's affection and what did Frost think was going to happen sending miss curiosity into the Ark with that tidbit of knowledge.
