Samantha merely frowned at the sigh that left Aiden's lips as she expressed that she could feel exactly what he was feeling. Where it had originally been so difficult to read the stoic young man, the more time she spent with him, the more she could feel him without any effort on her part. That he was feeling any kind of anxiety was rare for him, and certainly worth questioning. But still, he offered her no explanation as she answered the question that he had countered her with. The realization that this place may have been for her was overwhelming, and while she was certain that it wouldn't be proper to take such an extravagant gift, she could hardly find it within her to deny how much she liked it. She grinned as she approached him, and even more so as she pulled away from the kiss they had shared. "Aiden," She whispered quietly as she slipped the keys into her own hand, looking at them with awe. But the awe was replaced quickly by the bubbling laughter at his only explanation for the gift. "God," She laughed, looking up at her boyfriend. "My couch does suck." She only offered him a nod at the statement that she could move in whenever she wanted. He was right, it wouldn't take long. She wouldn't keep the futon, nor the splintered remains of the table that Nadya had broken. "You know, when you offered to buy me a new table, this was not what I was expecting." She teased him, her fingers squeezing his arm as she let go of him, going off to further explore the space she had been offered.
The young faerie girl wasted no time in moving through the apartment that Aiden had brought her to, seeming entirely content to investigate the room. Like her current apartment, there was a brick wall that lined the furthest wall of the space, though it still seemed better. Cleaner, perhaps, as though it was meant to be a focal point instead of just a cheap way to avoid having to put up more walls. The windows were meant to be admired, and for a moment Samantha merely stood in front of them, taking in the few of the city from them. There were books, a television, a couch with the plushest pillows Samantha had ever seen, chairs. An actual dining room table made of a dark wood that looked like it wouldn't rock steadily with any amount of weight on it like her old one had. She ventured further, nosing around in the kitchen with the sleek appliances that looked like they might be able to actually cook a proper meal. He'd even bought her a tea kettle, one that was shiny and new and not chipped and rusted. Her favorite feature, perhaps, was the spiral staircase in the corner of the room. She approached it, her fingers moving to hover only inches above the railing before she finally acknowledged the man in the room once more. "It's not iron, is it?" She asked hesitantly. She hardly waited for his response before she placed her hand on the railing, taking a few of the stairs before she turned back to him.
"Come upstairs with me?" She asked, smiling big at her companion. She barely waited for him to reach the stairs before she moved herself forward again, her shoes making the metal ring out in the space as she ran up the stairs. She paused at the landing, looking both ways as she noticed that there was not one, but two bedrooms. "You got a place for Dorian," She said softly, moving to peak into the room to the left of the staircase. She hardly wasted time in that before she explored the bathroom â€" a space easily three times the size of the current room she had â€" before finally settling on the larger of the bedrooms that must have been reserved for her. She stood in awe in the doorway, taking in the space. The brick wall was lined with long windows that had an even better view of the city, and there was a plush chair that she was sure she'd be curled up in with a book. But even better was the main focus of the room, the big bed with the white fluffy comforter and white pillows. Immediately, the girl resisted the urge to flop down on the space, instead turning to her male companion.
"You did all this. For me. Because my couch sucked." She spoke as she snaked her arms around his neck, drawing herself in close to him. "Aiden I... I don't know how to thank you. This place is incredible... and I just... I know Miss Manners would tell me to refuse it, but I don't think I can. It's beautiful and it's closer to the burlesque... and to you..." She looked up, meeting the green eyes of the man she was so smitten with. It was almost as though her mind clicked suddenly, a grin appearing on her features. "Aiden, we're alone." It had been too long since they'd been truly alone together. At the Ark, they were never alone. Tobi could walk in at any time, as could any other member of the staff. At her own home, Dorian was almost always there and the faerie girl hardly felt comfortable parading her 'male lover' into the space. But here... here they were alone. And the girl was far from willing to waste it, especially with the euphoria that raced through her system. She pressed herself up, pressing another kiss to his lips before she stepped backwards, pulling him along with her. "Come test out this bed with me," She enticed, a smirk developing on her features at the possibilities of what their evening would hold.
