Anacosta Heights

Situated above the daily life of the city, Anacosta Heights is a tucked away suburb featuring extravagant neo-gothic inspired mansions. The inhabitants of this neighborhood often show their overwhelming wealth with sports cars lining their long, circular driveways, large pools, and manicured gardens. The homeowners of Anacosta Heights treasure their privacy as seen by the high iron gates to the security personnel present at every entrance.

Dupont Circle

Dupont Circle is a small suburban neighborhood settled within the serene portion of the southern portion of town. These four-bedroom, single-family homes feature back yards, porches, garages, and far more breathing space then the Village offers. This neighborhood often is more family orientated and even has organized events for children and the neighborhood as a whole.

Hawethorn Village

Settled in the middle of downtown, Hawthorn Village consists of several victorian inspired row houses just off the main street. Due to it's convenience to just about everything, the village can be a tad expensive to live within. However, the residents of this neighborhood often have two to three-story townhouses, often with a one to two-car garage. Many of the houses feature bay windows and/or rooftop terraces with a small fenced-in 'yard'.

River Dale

River Dale primarily consists of apartments that, despite their age and industrial appearing interior, still hold to the Victorian history that permeates the town. These apartments are often the cheapest option and sport scuffed, older wooden floors, open floor plans, visible beams, and the occasional brick wall.

but not enough to get attached

Slowly, the vampire's fingertips caressed the medallion that hung so loosely from his neck, the motion hardly ceasing despite the young girl's announcement of the bath. Instead, the vampire's thoughts still lingered upon the fashion Dorian fingertips had interlaced within his for those few precious blocks on the city street and the taste of his lips upon Sebastian's own within that garden of glass. It was enough to caught a soft sigh to leave his lips as his indigo gaze slowly refocused upon the bathroom door. Sebastian utterly abhorred the grogginess that so clung to him that first hour after waking, as if the sun disliked releasing her hold upon him. It made him hungry. Thankfully, it was the sound of a knock on the front door that drew Sebastian from his decidedly more animalistic thoughts. The vampire himself was hardly the only member of the household to pause, albeit entirely briefly. The sound after all, had become quite regular in his house of late. The purchase of the estate had hardly gone unnoticed by the vampire's newly found neighbors, several of which had already ventured to his front step to greet him, even if it was purely for neighborhood gossip. The lifestyles of the wealthy were hardly all that different from English court despite the centuries that had passed since Sebastian had graced the halls of Buckingham Palace.

"I'll go help Charlie chase them away." Emma muttered and slowly Sebastian's head bobbed ever so slightly as the girl left him entirely to himself, entirely trusting the pair to see to whomever stood upon his doorstep. It was Charlie that opened the front door to the mansion, the certainly youthful appearing fellow glancing down at the fairy King with an entirely wary look upon his features for a rather long moment before his head slowly tilted to the side in recognition. "Ah, your grace, he's been waiting for you. Please, come in." The man offered the slightest of bows towards Dorian before gesturing him inside and in turn closing the door securely behind them. He hardly paused within the foyer, English customs of calling cards and the such nearly entirely forgotten as the man continued to lead Dorian deeper into the house, "He's upstairs. Please forgive us, we were not expecting you so early." He continued without pause, heading up the staircase and towards the room Sebastian had claimed as his own. Charlie paused just in front of the doorway, gesturing inside briefly before turning to leave. After all, it had been made startlingly clear to him that whatever the relationship between the two men was, it hardly required his prolonged presence.

The sound of footsteps down the carpeted hallway, however, was enough to pull Sebastian's attention entirely. The vampire's indigo gaze shifted upwards, the man still settled at the edge of the bed as if he hadn't yet convinced himself it worth waking yet, despite the man of hours that the sun had stolen from him. The sight of Dorian himself, however, brought an all too warm simper to Sebastian's features. There was something altogether delightful of the fairy King's presence, more so than usual. You see, it was particularly rare that Sebastian remained within the bed of any of his lovers and rarer still perhaps that they might have remained in his. Sebastian was used to waking up utterly alone, despite how dismal and dejecting of a thought it might have been. It had been the norm for him for so long that something as small and insignificant as Dorian here, right now, somehow made the vampire's entire evening seem somehow...better. It was an effect Dorian alone had on him, after all he treasured those hours they spent together far greater than he should have.

"Dorian..." He uttered softly, entirely uncaring for his clear state of undress or his ruffled hair. Instead, his hand reaching out gingerly for his companion. In those sweet moments, Sebastian wanted particularly little more than to feel the body of the fairy within his arms. Up until this very moment, Sebastian had strove to always appear so perfectly put together, he'd kept his own overwhelming desires in check, doing his best to reserve his forward nature until Dorian had expressed some want for his affections and yet, tonight such boundaries simply failed to exist for the vampire. Not here, tucked behind the sanctuary of his own walls and not without the memories of the promise of what their 'next time' might bring. Dorian had so teased him, denying him all that he yearned for till it absorbed his every spare thought entirely. "I was worried you hadn't received it." He muttered softly, his gaze entirely settled on the man himself. Oh how such turbulent thoughts had plagued him of late! What if the mail lost it? What if Dorian did not yet know of mailboxes? What if the woman he lived with refused to give it to him? What if he had gotten lost or could find it? And yet, now, all those concerns and fears were quickly laid to rest now that he was here.
