South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The witch wasn't hindered at all by his bored look or obvious unapproachable body language that usually kept others at bay. It's like she was all too used to the gestures to pay them any real mind, which only made him that much more curious. And then to so boldly go spouting off about people talking to her about him and trying to guess who this mysterious "she" was to him? He had to admit, this witch had some nerve. She didn't seem flustered by any of it, only a look of cool calculation sent his way as she settled in the seat across from him and waited for his next move. When he told her that he needed no help, she raised a brow almost as if amused, her "uh huh" hardly convinced and he sighed in frustration. Persistent little thing. He did manage to catch her off guard when he laughed over her guessing that he had a wife or girlfriend, though her interest was definitely up when he pushed the shot glass toward her.

She raised it and sniffed before taking the shot and he smirked in amusement, one brow raised expectantly. As long as she was willing to drink with him, he guessed he could handle a little mysterious conversation. He watched the change in her gaze as he told her of his last serious relationship. She figured it out quickly enough. She said something about the handsome ones ending up gay and he chuckled. "I'd like to say I'm just open to more options than most." He had nothing against some women, after all. When he teased her about his status as a virgin, she said he sounded touchy and he smirked, leaning back in the chair. "Or just a private person." When he asked who she was in relation to whoever she'd been talking to, she at least told him that she wasn't a friend before admitting she was a ghost whisperer. His brow quirked up as he leaned forward a little, suddenly more interested. "So then I take it this rumor mill you're talking to is no longer breathing."

She confirmed that theory for him just moments later, saying he had a ghost attached to him and they might not even know each other. She brought up how the ghost might have a crush on him and he raised a brow in consideration. He didn't know how that could be a good thing for a ghost to like him romantically in any way. Isn't that how much ghost possession/horror movies start? She went on, saying the ghost was annoying her and usually when she did what they asked, they went away. He scowled, not at all convinced he wanted any part of whatever this ghost wanted with him. "So what exactly does this ghost want? To help me? Or do I just need to start with cutting out a piece of my heart for her to hold onto for eternity?I'm not sure I'm for the whole dating someone in the afterlife phase." He smirked, his eyes twinkling teasingly even though he knew this was supposed to be a serious matter. Those were always the most fun to tease about, right?
