The uneventful plane ride meant Nadya was able to get the rest necessary for their excurcion. She was most grateful for the familiar face of her boyfriend to return when they were finally off the plane. Now that they were in his homeland, it was her turn to simply stand at his side and let him do the talking...none of which she understood. Nadya could only smile politely and help load their things into the rented car and enjoy the scenery as Frost drove them out to the designated drop off site. "Volcano?" Nadya raised a brow as she considered those peaks in the distance. "How often do they...go off?" The most she knew about a volcano came from her high school days with Pompeii and that didn't exactly end well. Were they going to be racing against a volcano eruption along with hunters? Nadya nodded mutely in understanding though about staying out of the water. She was sure that Frost's heat ability could keep her from dying of the cold but that was only if he was near.
Nadya glanced out at the park Frost spoke of as she pulled the large saddle from the trunk. To her it looked like a vast space of green and rocks with no end. She followed the training that they had done many times before in laying the blanket then fastening the saddle upon her stallion's back. Nadya took this quiet moment before a surely long adventure to press her forehead to Frost's. Those practiced icelandic words were offered so easily to her boyfriend. She wanted him to know, to hear it, how she trusted him completely in this and everything else. A warm smile crossed her features at his reply before she lifted herself up onto that saddle.
Although she was still no master, Nadya felt at ease riding now so when Frost took off across that land there was no tension in her body anymore. As always, Nadya was grateful for his ability to keep the chill of the air from touching her skin. It certainly made the journey easier though after those first few hours it wasn't the chill but the ache in her legs. The quiet of the journey was interrupted when Frost's words slipped into her mind, drawing her attention to the present.
Nadya watched as that once distance water display became bigger and bigger until it towered above them. She smirked and rolled her eyes at his innuendo. "It's beautiful." Joking aside it was the grandest natural splendor she had ever seen. She had never doubted when Frost had spoken of his homeland of just how beautiful it was. Seeing it was better than hearing about it. "Is this the only one in the park?" Her gaze shifted to the surrounding area which gave way to only more green expanse. She couldn't imagine a child wandering this on their own. "How....how old were you..when you left?" She knew so little about that time of his life. Normally she didn't ask, instead wanting him to feel that he could talk about it when he wanted. However, now they had nothing but time on their travel for her to wonder about it.
