The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

It all felt surreal since that fateful night the Ark had sunk. That night replayed over and over within her mind like a broken record stuck on repeat. Every last detail almost burned persistently within the confines of her skull even despite a new routine had bloomed in its wake. That very night that changed everything, in more ways that could even be fathomable. The pack scattered, her relationship with Tetradore stood upon far more certain ground (yet his moods remained ever-changing as always), a lost home, a path that somehow felt known and yet obscure all at once. Needless to say, Mira could not deny that she longed for those mundane moments aboard that ship, missed the rhythm and flow of activity she had grown accustomed to. One that had come to an abrupt, screeching halt like someone suddenly pulled the emergency brake on the highway that was once driving at full speed. Yet it wasn't all bad, far from it. She enjoyed that time with Tetradore even though they somehow managed to be busy, keeping track of that pack, Tetradore's businesses still remained, and Mira still found a new routine to forge a semblance of normalcy in the chaos.
However, the pull of the full moon could not be ignored by their kind. It affected them all, in one way or another there was no escaping it. It always set her a little on edge, that slight gnawing, anticipatory feeling within her cause from that direct line which led straight to her wolf. It wasn't awful, far from it. She had grown to accept her wolf as a part of her, enjoying those moments to simply give in to instinct. Yet how the Hispanic woman became all too aware of sensation, sounds and smells, the very world around her painted in vivid clarity. It was as though it became far more alive, much as she felt. Some despised it and yet she welcomed it, that natural pull to give in to that inner animal felt as synonymous as breathing.
She felt that promising shiver press across her skin as they drove to the obscure cabin, even with the roar of that powerful engine was not enough to diminish the full moon's closeness even if it hadn't risen just yet. Apparently, amongst all of that, she felt the nagging reminder of those recently procured snacks and sweet they had made a quick stop along the way. That full moon always seemed to prompt an increased appetite within the woman. The nightshade pack forever cursed with that well-known sweet tooth. The sweet and tantalizing scent permeating through that bag that rested securely between her feet, the woman mischievously might have... stolen a cookie for herself and Tetradore to enjoy on that long car ride, knowing he was far from immune from the lure of those tasty treats. Plus, they could always use the excuse... for quality control.
Mira inquired after that cabin in the woods, persistently curious of the secluded place. The further out they went, the more Mira envisioned an obscure shack in the middle of nowhere, with nothing more than running water and a generator for power. It was an entirely ridiculous notion, she knew it. After all, she had to hand it to Tetradore, the man had taste and he certainly wouldn't send Tobi and Raven off to live off the grid. Even though, this place was well out of the way of civilization. She could not help but feel mildly concerned for the godly sleek black Bugatti and its suspension on those gravel roads that were taken with extreme care.
Mira's thoughts shifted to Raven, she had to be showing by now along with Tobias' knowledge of the pregnancy and yet she had kept that promise to secrecy. Tobias had to know by and she was curious how the spotted leopard took it, Mira, certain that he handled it better than Raven's previous worries. Even with his quirks, it was undeniable that he loved his mate and would protect her just as he would protect his own. That's what mattered. Those thoughts brushed away as Tetradore announced their arrival and soon pulled into the drive that familiar sight of the Ford surely brought forth a sense of relief within the were-king. The cabin sat well within the back, nestled within the towering trees of the forest that surrounded them. A perfect slice of solitude.
Mira's golden gaze shifted toward Tetradore then, her gaze settled upon the man's handsome features. "I should have known this was not a typical cabin in the woods. I don't even think 'cabin' does this place justice." Mira commented before she easily assessed her newfound surroundings once more. The pair opened their doors in unison and they were soon met with the fresh appealing scent of the forest that so completely seemed to appease to her wolf. Mira slipped out of the Noir with the bag draped securely within her fingertips hand before drawing toward Tetradore, her shoulder brushing against his own, the she-wolf nearly drawn to the contact of her boyfriend. That term hardly matched someone so masculine and yet how she seemed to embrace those... 'labels'. What had ever made them so gunshy before was lost.
How those cars seemed almost out of place in a place so... one with nature and yet she saw little need to comment on the contrast between those exotic machines and nature itself. "I think I'd like to come out here again when all this is over, just the two of us." She contemplated out loud as Mira tilted her head slightly to better view her stoic king. The undertone of flirtatious insinuation clear as a small smile played nearly mischievous upon her lips. The insinuation was clear and yet Tetradore often missed those undertones. Her fingers toyed with the fabric handle of that bag containing those goodies within her right hand, as she rose a singular brow at him. "Ah come on Tet, do I have to bat my eyes at you?" She added with a genuine laugh that saw to her lips curl into a smile before placing a teasing but affectionate kiss upon his cheek. He did seem to come alive when they were alone. Mira allowed that smile to linger upon her lips as they moved toward the entrance. How she could not lie that she felt the growing excitement of the prospect of spending some time with friends, with pack. The dark-haired woman had been looking forward to this. It had been far too long since they had been apart. She could hardly help the way that playful nature pushed to the surface Mira rose a hand before she firmly knocked against that solid wood door. She listened keenly for the sound of stirring from within.
Nothing. How odd. They knew they were coming.
"Tobi? Raven? Its the opposite of a robbery, we come bearing gifts." She called out, the woman reached to test the door handle that was apparently locked. She looked to Tet with a quizzical expression dancing within her near glowing golden eyes, the fact that the car was there stated they couldn't be that far.
