The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.
The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.
Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

I don't think of things in terms of beauty, at least not on a usual basis. Once you're dead, or undead rather, things don't have the same value as they used to. Money is easy enough to come by and girls are only as pretty as their blood tastes. I've had this opinion for a long time before Isolt came along. Something stopped me from dragging her into a dark corner and drinking her dry at that concert when she was human and something made me find her on that dark street and get her to a tavern for a warm drink. I don't know what it is and I don't rightly want to think about it much. I just want to enjoy my time with her being some guy that's not me. Sure, I can still be sarcastic and quite an ass when I get the hankering but something makes me almost likable in her presence and I can't say I don't hate it. I don't see the beauty of the night when I look out from this cliff. I see something she would like and that too is something new for me. I don't usually care what others think. I only care what I think. But when I found this place while hunting one night, I just knew that I had to bring her here cause I knew she would love it. It's so peaceful and the lights shine so brightly. You can even see the stars from here cause it's far enough away from the city lights. It's a rarity, something a human would call beautiful, but I can't find anything more breath taking than the red head standing before me. She furrows her brow at my request but I see no distrust in her eyes. She merely watches me for a moment before slowly closing her bright blue eyes and giving into my command. When I place the pastry on her tongue, her reaction is immediate. She brings a hand to her lips and for a moment, I'm afraid she's going to choke. Of course, we don't have need for breath so choking is almost null and void but it would still be uncomfortable to have something stuck in your throat. I watch her features with puzzlement, wondering if I should help but slowly it dawns on me that she's not sure what to do with a solid food in her mouth. I'd almost forgotten how foreign human food was to me after I got turned. I learned how to tolerate it for show and how to use it to hide my delicacies. I'm actually quite the cook, unknown to many. She seems worried and I try to keep only reassurance on my face as I watch, ready to side if she does end up needing it. I know first hand that the pastry will start melting on her tongue if she holds it there much longer so I just wait. When finally she bites down, I know I've gotten her attention. Her whole face seems to light up and it's almost like I can hear her purring in appreciation. Finally she swallows and I give her a confident smirk. "Not so bad, was it?" She whispers that its perfect and my face softens, my lips etching a genuine smile. I haven't been this satisfied to hear a compliment in a long time. Suddenly seh backs up and I raise a brow in surprise and amusement as she curls a finger at me. She moves toward the creek and I follow a little slower, still unsure of what she has planned though I already know that I'll be taking part in whatever it is. She removes her shoes and I catch on with a low chuckle, bending over to remove my own socks and shoes in no time. I look up as she rolls up her pants and rolls my eyes good naturedly. Who cares about getting their pants wet? She stops hopping across the stones in the water and I watch from the bank. She turns back and I know that she expects me to follow so I sigh in defeat and do just that, hopping from stone to stone with a hunter's grace before ending up on the stone next to hers. She whispers that it's peaceful and I smile softly. "So is the ocean when you look at it from the sky." A good comparison, I would think. Looking at it from the air, you would never think about the rough waters and the rolling waves that can drown a human in less than a minute. You don't think about the chaos beneath the ocean either, the sharks hunting their prey and the rest of the ocean kind making a living and trying to survive. I look away from the city lights only when she moves down to caress the water with her hands. I raise a brow in curiosity. Then she strikes. Before I can think to move, she splashes water on me and I growl in playful retaliation a she giggles and moves away from me as quickly as she'd come. "You think you're going to get away that easily?" I say in a mock angry tone, racing across the stones with practiced ease. I pounce, moving my arms to wrap around her waist and pull her toward me as I fall backwards into the water, using my body to cushion the fall so that she'd land on top. The water is deep enough here for the fall not to hurt at all and at least we wouldn't have to worry about drowning. The current is strong enough though because of our close proximity to a waterfall. |
