South

The southern part of the city has a chic family-oriented sort of charm to it. Here, small locally owned shops run rampant, neighbors often know each other by name, and the monthly socials are an event not to be missed. In the South, children can often be seen safely playing in the park or on sidewalks and in the weekends, families often take to the beach to enjoy the warm waters surrounding the city.

Ascension Center of Equitation

The Ascension Center of Equitation is the epicenter of the Dark Hunter Cavalry Unit. Originally a high-class facility for show-jumping, Ascension now caters entirely to the Cavalry Unit. Here the Dark Hunters learn how to ride and fight upon the backs of horses - many of which are Were's themselves.

Hyde Park

Hyde Place takes up a large part of the Southern side of the city and includes a large playground, several fountains, and a small garden. The park is open from five in the morning till midnight though many shady characters may visit this place while it's technically "closed". The park has also been a venue for several concerts and hosts many holiday-related events. Under a full moon, witches are often seen here for the sacred ground beneath the iconic Weeping Beech.

Point Defiance Zoo and Aquarium

The Point Defiance Zoo & Aquarium (PDZA) is an award-winning combined zoo and aquarium located within the Southern Part of Sacrosanct. Situated on 92 acres in Sacrosanct's Hyde Park, the zoo and aquarium are home to over 9,000 specimens representing 367 animal species. Point Defiance is also widely known for its conversation efforts regarding the breed and release program of Red Wolves.

The Outskirts

Beyond the city limits and over the bridge lies the deep, dark, and almost impenetrable forest. Often seen as a way to guard this magical city against the world that surrounds it, many are entirely ignorant of the evil that may creep between those tree trunks. Many were-creatures use the forest for the transformations of their newest members and some even take to hunting here. It isn't particularly peculiar for people to go missing within this forest but once you get through, the rest of the world awaits.

South

It was almost immediate that Edie decided that she was a fan of Raziya. He seemed to hold that same charm and wit that she loved in Kato, and there was the same level of kindness in his eyes that immediately drew her in. It was easy to smile at him, the smile of not a girl who was trying to be kind, but of genuine amusement at him. His deep laugh earned a giggle out of the girl, her fingers squeezing Kato's hand. She was content to join them for food, eager to eat something â€" anything â€" that wasn't dried fruit. She was grateful, even though she assured him that he didn't have to hunt for meat, that he showed her the concern he held for her. She was certainly unaware of the gazes that were on her, instead just enjoying that she could lean into her boyfriend and steady herself with his presence. Public displays of affection were perfectly normal in her culture. At least, leaning into his side was at no way abnormal to her. Even if she had noticed, Edie was sure she wouldn't care regardless.

Edie's focus was grabbed immediately by the woman that joined them, and though she was mildly shocked by the woman's state of undress, she made no show of it. She just offered the woman a smile, watching the way Kato interacted with his brother. It was surprising to her that they insisted Kato would name the daughter, though truly the woman was coming to terms with the fact that there was so much about Kato's culture that he hadn't prepared her for. Edie wanted, desperately, to take a bigger part in the conversation. It wasn't like the girl to stay silent, and yet she was so sure that she would say the wrong thing and embarrass herself, or worse, Kato. She was thankful, then, that Kato slid his hand to her knee and reassured her that they would, in fact, not be separated. It was a relief that she would be able to curl up next to him. She was distracted, however, from the rest of the conversation by the swarm of children that seemed to have advanced on her, moving to play with her hair and run fingers down her skin. The woman had to bite back the urge to tell them to bugger off, but instead moved gently, removing the sunhat from her head so that her long hair was free to tumble all the way down her back. "You can play with it, if you want," She offered gently, though her voice was timid as she wasn't sure how much of her words they would understand. "I don't mind."

It wasn't until Kato pulled away from her did Edie's attention turn from the children and back towards that of her boyfriend. The woman that approached them caused Edie's heart to drop into her stomach. Ah, yes, the mother. Her only other experience with meeting a lover's mother was Beck's, and though she'd known her since Edie was a child, she still made her skin crawl every time they were in the same place. It seemed as though Kato's mother would do the same. She craved for the approval of the woman, wanting her to approve of the woman that her son had taken an interest in. It was only at the gaze of the woman did Edie brush the children aside, rising to her feet as she joined Kato's side, giving her a tiny smile as she gave her the once over. "Du...mela..." The woman tried, rather butchering the word in her English accent. "Hello, it's so nice to meet you. Kato speaks so fondly of you." It seemed as though she was immediately brushed off, the woman implying that she was a rhino which caused Edie's brow to furrow. "Oh, I'm not a rhino. My Were form is a fenâ€""

She found herself surprised by Kato's grabbing ahold of her as his brother spoke, steering her away. The girl scowled, though she didn't pull away from him as her instinct told her to. She barely paid attention to the words that were spoke, only registering the cheers as Kato led her away and into one of the huts that lined the dirt road. The girl blinked as they were suddenly shaded, the change in light taking several moments for her eyes to adjust. The hut was one step up from the ground they'd slept on the night before, though several steps below the cabin they'd shared on the boat. Oh well, at least it was shaded, right? Edie turned once he let go of her, frowning as she looked up at him. "Why did you steer me away? Did I say something wrong? Because Kato, you really didn't prepare me at all for this. I... I don't know what to say or how to move or what to do... and your mother looked at me like I..." The girl shook her head, moving forward suddenly to press her lips to his in an almost possessive gesture, determined to shake off the disapproval of his mother with the feeling of his lips on hers.
