East

The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The young girl's gaze was steadfast upon the storefront she was approaching, her chocolate eyes intent upon the intricately painted paper umbrellas the establishment sold. She could hardly deny their beauty, as silly of an object as it might have been. After all, they were meant as shade from the sun and it wasn't as if Chizue ventured beneath her harsh light any longer - much less like it would protect her if she even dared to step a foot outside during the daylight hours. Would it be too silly of her to purchase one? Would they have recognized her as a vampire? It was these thoughts and the umbrella itself that weighed so heavily upon the oriental doll's mind - enough so that she was hardly aware of the man that stepped in front of her until it was altogether too late. She collided heavily into the chest of a strange man, her footing utterly destroyed by the unexpected collision, sending the girl falling backwards and onto the sidewalk behind her. Chizue certainly looked all together startled as she looked up at her new found companion, the girl hadn't even taken stock of herself yet before ensuring that she hadn't hurt someone else.

Her darkly hued irises followed the man as he slowly bent down in front of her, the demure female entirely aware of her attraction to the man in front of her. He was handsome, of that there certainly was no doubt but in her experience, handsome men had decidedly little interest within her. That warm simper upon his features certainly served to cause her heart to quicken, a pink hue spread nearly immediately across her pale cheeks. Her gaze slowly dropped towards his outreached hand, the young woman was notably hesitant as she slowly reached out with her own much smaller, delicate fingers. "I...I'm so sorry, I didn't mean to." She uttered, her voice only just barely above a whisper. Her head shook ever so slightly from side to side at his inquiry on her tardiness. "No, I was just --" She paused, a small frown tracing her oriental features, "I'm sorry." Chizue repeated once again before inquiring, "Are you okay?" After all, despite her decided attraction to the man (or maybe even in addition to), her own self-sacrificing nature still held entirely true.

Regardless, she let the man haul her to her feet, her eyes entirely steadfast upon him as he turned her hand over and brought it to his lips and for a moment the young vampire nearly forgot how to breathe - until he asked for her name. "Um..." She uttered softly, pausing as his gaze momentarily met her own. "Chizue....Yumi Chizue." It hadn't occurred to her that the man might somehow be influencing her feelings towards him, not that she would have really found fault in it anyways. Even without his affinity, the girl would have found him entirely bewitching but, the truth of the matter was that Chizue knew he was far out of her league, if she even had one to begin with. She paused, entirely uncertain of herself before she inquired, "Are you here for the parade too, Mr...?" Her voice trailed off, fully allowing him to fill in the blank if he so chose to. Despite the man's certainly charming nature, Chizue still found herself entirely weary of him. After all, the last handsome man who'd shown interest in her had been a Dark Hunter whom had forced her to work for him to turn in others of her kind - it was a job she had utterly despised but done if only for fear of her own life. At the very least, he was one of her own kind. That meant something, right?
