The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

Samantha Cassidy
The very notion that she might be able to make someone feel stupid was met with a chuckle, her fingers squeezing at his hand. "Please. It's more likely that I'll feel stupid, but I appreciate your confidence all the same." She flashed him a smile. She appreciated that he believed in her, that he respected her. It only made her want to be around him more if only for the skills he could bring her. A faerie like him could command respect, especially if he knew how the fae monarchies were supposed to run. Samantha knew only of monarchies in fairy tales, and while Dorian was remarkably skilled in them, his knowledge was limited entirely to the human, Italian monarchy. But not Troy, no. Troy knew how it was supposed to be... how she was supposed to be treated. Troy would never laugh at her, and that alone was enough to make her trust him.
The notion that he might have to play hard to get earned him a chuckle from the queen's lips, her eyes lifting to meet his with a playful simper on her lips. "I think I'm supposed to be the one playing hard to get, dove. You're supposed to be pleading to join me, are you not?" She couldn't help the tease. It was too easy to relax around him, even if he was lifting her up further into the air and her heart seemed to seize within her chest. She'd never liked heights much, and now that she couldn't find solid footing wasn't particularly feeling safe. But he'd promised he wouldn't let her fall, hadn't he? She would hold him to that.
"My perfume?" She whispered, trying desperately to draw her attention back to the conversation at hand and not looking straight down at the waves that would swallow her whole. "I um. I..." She stuttered, glad when he began to speak about meeting Dorian. She couldn't help the laugh at the notion that he might chase Dorian out of his job, her head shaking slightly. "I hate to break it to you, but Dorian's job is safe. There is only one that I trust more than I trust Dorian." Aiden. She trusted Aiden more than anyone and knew he would do anything he could to keep her safe.
The queen took in a sharp breath as they passed close enough to the cloud for her to reach out and touch it, her fingers thumbing at the soft mist. As a child, she'd always anticipated them to be as fluffy as blankets, but the reality was nothing like that. A small giggle escaped her lips as she shook her head. "None, but I don't have wi..." She started, the words cut off from her as he moved to dip her upside down, the small squeak of terror escaping her lips. "T-Troy, would... would now be a good time to tell you that I'm terrified of heights?"
