The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

With one hundred floors and a 125-foot spire, the Starlight Tower rises high above the Sacrosanct skyline. More than just a landmark, the Starlight Tower offers a unique mix of restaurants, shops, and offices spaced throughout the building. Organized into nine verticle zones, each of which features a sky lobby and a light-filled garden atrium which merge the upscale interior with a faux landscaped exterior setting.
A sigh of relief emits from Miya's delicate lips as she slings that messenger bag over her shoulder. She was finished with finals. The small woman was even confident that she had passed all her tests with flying colors! Feeling a bit victorious, she filters her way out of the lecture hall, following the students as excitement bubbles in the pit of her stomach. She would finally get to start her residency! The girl was ecstatic and wanted to celebrate, her mind quiet for the time being considering all that she had learned in the last several weeks; specifically, about supernatural creatures that she didn't particularly care to learn about.
Even Arlo's explanation of creatures within Sacrosanct nor his own... thing he had going could bring the Asian woman down. Smiling faintly to herself, she adjusts her bag just as she exits the building, her cheeks instantly flushed within the cold air nipping at her bare skin. Burying her nose into her chunky turtleneck sweater, she pauses on the sidewalk, out of the way of traffic as she digs for her phone in that bag of hers. Retrieving it, she powers the device on, waiting patiently as it powers up. Quickly googling a nearby place to eat, she picks the top choice, the familiar name ringing through her head.
She had meant to try more of the local cuisine here in Sacrosanct, yet she had been far too busy between work and schooling to try, well, anything. Deciding then and there she would treat herself to food, she shoves her phone back into her pocket before she makes her way towards Red on the Water. As the wind sweeps back her hair, she burrows farther into her sweater, wishing she had brought a thicker coat. She had rushed so quickly out of her apartment this morning that she had forgotten that jacket lying on the back of the kitchen chair. Crossing her arms over her chest, she tucks her slender hands into the folds of the sweater as she bows her head and picks up the pace, hoping that a little exertion from her part would warm her up.
Yet, she's practically frozen solid by the time she's pushing inside the cozy little restaurant, the tip of her nose and cheeks flushed pink from the cold. Shivering, she rubs her hands together, breathing into them to bring a bit of life back to the appendages. As her chocolate eyes adjust to the dim lighting, she notes there a very few people within the confines of the restaurant. It was too late for lunch and a little too early for dinner, hence the slow part of the day. Miya found it rather pleasing, she never did well in crowds. A bit of confidence enters her stride as she makes her way farther in, due to the lack of people, until a familiar face falls into her line of vision.
Eyes widening in surprise, she abruptly changes directions and moves to the booth in the corner, "Ludo?" she calls out, her voice delicate and quiet in the restaurant. Making her way closer she realizes it is him as a shy smile breaks out across her lips, "I thought that was you! What're you doing here all by yourself?"
