The east side of the city is the very heart of Sacrosanct - it's unique skyline is a clash between modern sky rises and small Victorian-inspired storefronts. In the heart of downtown, the sleek colored glass buildings reign supreme though their old-world roots can be seen in the most peculiar places from the lamp post styled electric street light to the stone sidewalks. The old world architecture slowly returns the further from downtown you travel, however. It's here that magic thrives, it hums in every stone and can be felt in every breath. Often, newcomers to the city may become overwhelmed by such sensations but, eventually, it becomes an ever-present feeling that's hardly noticed.

The news that their packs were no longer at war with one another for the time being was news to him. He would have thought Tetradore would have said something about it to them. Did he really want them to find out this way? By word of someone elses' mouth? It didn't make sense to him. "You spoke to Tetradore?" He was confused and questioning, wondering why Tet had told Malia (a member of Frost's pack) and not him. Suddenly, he felt a little like the unwanted step child. Perhaps he didn't mean as much to Tet as he once thought. "He didn't seem to care about telling me." Briefly, he wondered if Raven knew...or even Tobias. Hell, if Tobias knew, then Raven would know. He would have to bring it up with them the next time he saw them.
Thankfully, their salads came and distracted him enough to change the subject entirely. There really wasn't more to be said. He would have to ask around and that was something he couldn't quite do here at dinner. Best enjoy their meal and have a good time as friends.
He began to eat the salad, waiting and watching patiently for Malia to take a bite of her own and swallow. He saw the glimmer of a smile which brought a smile to his own face. He chuckled at her words, trying hard not to choke. "Some of the vegetarian crap is awful. Like Tofu...don't ever eat that stuff. But salad and vegetables aren't bad." It was that fake meat and tofu that was so unappetizing. He was very glad he was not a vegetarian because he was certain he would starve if he had to survive on that stuff.
After a moment, their main course arrived and was set in front of them as their salad plates were taken away. Henry picked up his knife and fork and began to cut the steak up into small cubes. Slowly, he looked up at Malia. "You never asked what I did to my boyfriend...why?" Most would be quick to want specifics. Most people wanted to know the juicy gossip details so they could make their judgmental comments and thoughts. But Malia never asked. She just supported him as a friend. He wasn't sure he understood. Why was she so different from the rest?
