The game of foosball was a fun one. Despite both of their inexperience with the game, it did not stop them from trying valiantly to make goals and throw each other off. While Ashton was not very competitive, he did enjoy giving her a challenge. And just as she would try to distract him, he would do the same to her from time to time. He even intentionally allowed her to get a goal or two so she ended the night winning. He would much rather lose this one game and see her smile than to make her frown just because he won.
After the game had finally ended, he could feel the tiredness creep over him. He looked down at his watch and saw that it was almost dawn. How long had he stayed out? He had never intended to stay out quite so long. Clearly he was having a good time because they had been out with each other since before midnight. One look out the window showed the start of the sunrise. He smiled.
Attention was turned back to Malia and he offered her a tender smile. "I'm afraid our evening has come to an end." He pointed to the rising sun as he stepped towards the door. He opened it for her and waited for her to step outside before he looked up at her. "I had a good time, Malia. Perhaps we can do this again?" Maybe not the whole stay out until dawn thing...but perhaps a more formal date thing. Ashton was not very good at just having female friends. He was awkward at best. Perhaps nothing would come of his interactions with Malia. But just maybe, he might have found someone he was interested in. "Can I walk you home?" The least he could do was ensure that she made it home safely.
