It had been several days since he had tried to make amends with Sterling, to start their relationship off on a good start. He had wanted to be open and honest with him, to admit to his past mistakes so he might not make them again. And yet, when he had wanted to apologize to the man and offer up brutal honesty to start off their relationship right, it had backfired in the worst way. Henry had thought his honesty would be taken as a genuine peace offering and yet, Sterling only saw it as betrayal. Raven had been wrong to tell him to be honest with Sterling. It was her fault all this happened. If he had just kept his mistakes a secret, he would still have Sterling.
Henry had returned to the apartment he had once shared with Sterling (because honestly, he wasn't sure he would be welcome back there) so he could pack up the rest of his worldly goods and take them back to the Ark. He had knocked on the door, trying to respect Sterling's space. But when an answer didn't come, Henry let himself in only to find the place empty. A neighbor from across the hall mentioned something about having not seen Sterling in days. Days? Had he fled after their dinner? The realization that Henry had been left for good this time finally started to sink in and he hated it.
Henry had quickly packed his things and took them back to the Ark but did not linger. He needed a stiff drink. He needed drugs. He needed something that the Ark couldn't offer him. And so, Henry went down the path of least resistance.
He traveled to the east side and knocked softly on the door to the building that housed Frost's pack. He needed to talk to Malia. He needed someone to talk to and she was still his best friend, even through everything. There was very few people he could confide in. Now that Sterling was gone, she was all that was left. "I don't mean any trouble...I just want to talk to Malia." He knew it was uncustomary to go to the other pack's front door, but Malia didn't carry a phone and writing a letter would take too damn long, not that she could read it anyway. This was the best he could do.
